  • Publication number: 20120030524
Abstract: In a method of data processing within a controller ensuring that voting operations are reliably performed error free and in a corresponding controller unit, the input data are characteristic for the particular application where voting occurs. Voting whether or not the incoming data is correct involves a voting comparison method, a voting average method, and checking for a difference being within a certain range. The time dependent signature indicates correctly transmitted input data. Voting, based on the reviewed signature characteristics is an encoded operation. The time dependent signature indicates the data is coming from a correct source, has been a modification, and correct timing slides. Voting whether or not the incoming data is correct is performed in an encoded manner. A correct data is transmitted to be further used to actuate an actuator. The erroneous data is transmitted to be further sent to a fail safe guard.

  • Publication number: 20110054233
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a reactor system, for the oligomerization of ethylene, comprising oligomerizing ethylene in a reactor in the presence of a solvent and a catalyst composition to produce a liquid product stream comprising linear alpha-olefins, solvent and catalyst composition, and deactivating and extracting the catalyst composition in said liquid product stream by mixing it with a polar phase in a dynamic mixing device having rotor and stator elements comprising concentric tool rings.

  • Patent number: 6080074
Abstract: A hydrostatic/mechanical multiple path power transmission comprises an adjustable hydrostat unit (4), a summing planetary gearbox (10) with two input shafts (6, 8) and at least two output shafts, and a step gearbox (11) connected to the output shafts. In order to adjust low speeds and standstill precisely and rapidly, the following method is specified: rotational speed signals are formed by sensors (50, 51) on the two input shafts (6, 8) of the summing planetary gearbox (10), and are compared with each other by counters (61, 62); the actual pulse count difference formed in this way is compared with a desired pulse count difference, and a controller [sic] and the output signal of a controller (66) that responds to the result of this comparison effects adjustment of the hydrostat (4).

  • Patent number: 5911645
Abstract: A drive unit is composed of an internal combustion engine (1) and of a continuously controllable division gear which comprises a continuously controllable hydrostatic engine/pump unit (4) and a summator gear (10) with subsequent range gears (12, 13) for successive stepup ranges. In order to make this drive unit also possible at operating points within an interval containing the shift points, first the hydrostatic unit (4) is controlled further as far as the shift point, while the engine speed continues to remain constant, the clutch assigned to the next range is then closed and the desired vehicle speed is set by changing the engine speed and is maintained.
