  • Publication number: 20060170700
Abstract: A device operator interface includes a first operational parameter display field for displaying a first adjustable parameter characterizing a first operational state of a device and displaying a first distinctive color associated with the first operational state of the device, a second operational parameter display field for displaying a second adjustable parameter characterizing a second operational state of the device and displaying a second distinctive color associated with the second operational state of the device, and a control element manually operable to change the first parameter in a first state, and manually operable to change the second parameter in a second state. A color display is associated with the control element, and the color display is configured to display the first color when the control element is in its first state and is configured to display the second color when the control element is in its second state.

  • Patent number: 6245063
Abstract: An apparatus for an electrical surgical appliance is proposed, in which the undesirable leakage currents are considerably reduced or completely prevented. This is achieved according to the invention by a compensation circuit being provided, by means of which a compensation current can be produced in order to compensate at least partially for a leakage current at the neutral electrode.

  • Patent number: 6193713
Abstract: A method is described for the operation of a radiofrequency ablation instrument comprising a radiofrequency energy source having a plurality of regulatable outputs, with a plurality of electrodes being connectable to its outputs. A respective power value and/or current value representative of the power and/or the current transmitted by the radiofrequency energy source is detected for each output. The voltage delivered from the radiofrequency energy source is regulated in dependence on the detected power value and/or current value in such a way that the latter corresponds substantially to a predetermined power value and/or current value. A predetermined phrase relationship is in each case maintained between the currents or between the voltages at the outputs of the radiofrequency energy source. Furthermore, a corresponding apparatus is described.
