  • Publication number: 20240173057
Abstract: A bone plate comprises a plate body and at least one tab. The plate body defines an inner body surface configured to face an underlying bone, an outer body surface opposite the inner body surface, and an outer side surface that extends between the inner body surface and the outer body surface. The outer side surface defines an outer perimeter of the plate body. The at least one tab includes a head and an arm that extends from the plate body to the head. The tab defines a tab aperture that extends through the head and is configured to receive a bone anchor. The bone anchor can be coupled with a screw hole in the nail. The arm is configured to deflect with respect to the plate body so as to move the head between a pre-fixation position and a fixation position spaced from the pre-fixation position.

  • Patent number: 11944361
Abstract: A bone plate system is designed for use on a bone, which may be a humerus. The system includes an elongated bone plate extending along a longitudinal axis, the bone plate having an upper surface, an opposed bone-facing surface, and a boundary edge of the bone plate; and at least one threaded fastener hole extending from the upper surface to the bone-facing surface. The fastener holes are designed to receive a bone fastener to couple the bone plate to the bone. A plurality of first suture-receiving structures are connected with the bone plate and project from the boundary edge of the bone plate, so that the first suture-receiving structures are spaced from each another along the boundary edge of the bone plate. Each of the first suture-receiving structures comprises a wire loop anchored to the upper surface or to the bone-facing surface of the bone plate.

  • Publication number: 20230270482
Abstract: An insertion guide for guiding a fastener having a head and a shaft. The insertion guide includes a sidewall constructed of a biocompatible material having an entrance end, an exit end, and a cavity extending from the entrance end to the exit end. The sidewall has a guide portion and a fastener connector portion. The guide portion of the sidewall extends from the entrance end toward the exit end, and the fastener connector portion of the sidewall extends from the exit end toward the guide portion. The sidewall in the guide portion is configured such that the cavity has a first cross-sectional distance greater than the head of the fastener. The sidewall in the fastener connector portion has a second cross-sectional distance greater than the shaft, and less than the head.

  • Patent number: 11090149
Abstract: An orbital implant includes a bladder configured to be implanted between an orbit and an eyeball of a patient. The bladder defines at least one port and at least one compartment in fluid communication with each other. The at least one compartment defines an interior volume and is configured to hold a fill material so as to be adjustable responsive to injection of fill material into the at least one compartment through the at least one port as well as removal of fill material from the at least one compartment through the at least one port. Adjustment of the interior volume is configured to reposition the eyeball.
