  • Patent number: 6804912
Abstract: A method for cultivating crop plants having a shoot-root plant body, wherein during growing, part of the stem adjacent the roots is prepared such that new roots grow on the stem part of the plant. The new roots are brought into contact with a growth medium, such that during production of a crop, the length of the stem between the shoot furthest from the roots and the roots in contact with the grow medium closest to the shoot is maintained at a relatively short length as compared to a normal length of the plant of substantially the same age.
