  • Patent number: 4637746
Abstract: A dispensing container for multicomponent adhesives and other materials in which correct proportions, amount or ratios of two or more ingredients may be dispensed from a container while keeping the two or more ingredients from mixing together prior to application of the adhesive ingredients to the work to be glued or during closure of the container after application of the adhesive ingredients to the work. The container preferably comprises a hollow right angle prism divided by a slidable, self-supporting partition or partitions parallel to the longitudinal axis of the prism and pistons or plungers attached to the slidable partition or partitions and a slidable lug operating through a slot in the container wall to slide the partition with the attached plungers upwardly or downwardly to push the adhesive ingredients out of the container or return them into the container.

  • Patent number: 4582230
Abstract: The invention relates to a metering device for insertion into the mouth of a liquid container comprising an elongated cylinder having a cylindrical outlet opening extending beyond the mouth of said liquid container and one or more openings at the other end communicating with the interior of said liquid container, a metering chamber in said elongated cylinder, toward said outlet opening, a ball valve chamber in said elongated cylinder and a ball valve between the interior of the container and the metering chamber. The ball valve consisting of a valve ball and its seat is situated at the inlet opening of the metering chamber on the container side. In order always to obtain the same metered quantity irrespective of the tilting speed and the hydrostatic pressure which is determined by the filling level of the container, the valve ball is connected by a piston rod to a piston mounted for displacement in the cylindrical outlet opening of the metering chamber.

  • Patent number: 4489859
Abstract: A closure for a packaging container is provided, the closure permitting the continuous or intermittent dispensing of a liquid or free-flowing product. The closure comprises a continuous pipe sleeve with a bottom opening molded in the product dispensing opening, which pipe sleeve is provided with a tubular ball bearing housing within which a valve ball is free to move, which tubular housing includes a sealing cone which acts as a ball valve seat at the longitudinal sleeve outlet and a flared annular ball chamber above the bottom opening, which forms the longitudinal sleeve inlet end, and a freely movable valve ball located within the continuous tubular ball bearing housing.

  • Patent number: 4438869
Abstract: A dosing device with ball valve for attachment to a liquid container (12) with a valve ball (5) which closes the discharge opening (3) of the container in a tilted position of the latter is proposed. This is to make possible dosed squirting. This is achieved by a valve ball guide tube (1) which has over its length at least one lateral opening (2) leading towards the container interior and, at its end opposite the discharge opening (3) and the sealing valve ball seat (9), a lower part (4) expanding in funnel shape (6) from the tube wall (FIG. 1).

  • Patent number: 4355739
Abstract: This invention is directed to a liquid storage container. More particularly, this invention is directed to a liquid storage container that can be connected or attached to a spray pump which comprises two separate chambers to hold liquid components, each chamber having a take-up tube which leads to a mixing chamber contained within a movable member attached to a movable external selector, the member having openings therein, wherein, when the external selector is moved, the movable member attached thereto moves in a manner such that the ratio of the quantities of liquid components from the chambers varies.
