  • Patent number: 7866699
Abstract: A steering assembly has a bracket fixed to a vehicle and a bracket carriage displaceably arranged on the bracket. The assembly can be reliably collapsed in the event of an accident and is simple and cost-effective to manufacture. The bracket carriage is attached to the bracket by way of an attachment embodied in one piece with the bracket and/or the bracket carriage.

  • Publication number: 20080276747
Abstract: The invention relates to an actuator for a clamping mechanism of an adjustable steering column of a motor vehicle, by way of which actuator a clamping apparatus can be moved between a release position for adjusting the steering column and a clamping position for fixing the steering column in position, the actuator comprising a gear mechanism having a plurality of gear elements which are in engagement with one another. In order to provide an actuator which can be transferred considerably more quickly into its release position, an actuating device (26) is provided according to the invention, by means of which at least two of the gear elements (18, 20) of the actuator can be moved out of mutual engagement.

  • Publication number: 20080191455
Abstract: A safety steering column (1) is provided for a motor vehicle, which has a telescopic steering spindle (2) with an upper spindle part (3) which is near to the steering wheel and a lower spindle part (4) which is remote from the steering wheel, and is rotatably mounted in a jacket tube (5). The jacket tube (5) is of telescopic design and has an upper tube part (6) which is near to the steering wheel and a lower tube part (7) which is remote from the steering wheel, the lower tube part (7) being mounted so as to be pivotable about a first axis (10) on a bracket (9) which can be arranged fixed to the vehicle. In addition, an adjustment device which serves to vertically adjust the safety steering column (1) and has an actuating element (12) which is mounted so as to be pivotable about a second axis (14) is provided.

  • Patent number: 6644142
Abstract: In a selector lever device, for an automatic transmission of a motor vehicle, with a selector lever, which is fixed in a selector lever support seat and is guided in a gate structure including at least one gate branch wherein it is held in a home position by a detent unit, the selection lever is supported so that it can be swivelled from the home position about at least one swivel axis for actuating the detent structure providing for a one-touch function. The detent unit has a selector lever seat separate from the first selector lever engagement lever seat, by way of which the detent unit is operatively connected to the selector lever.
