  • Publication number: 20080016634
Abstract: Mops comprising one or more cleaning members. In select embodiments, the cleaning members are releasably secured to the mop and may be capable of compression. In these embodiments, the different cleaning members enable the mop to operate in a plurality of different modes, including a wringing mop mode, a damp mop mode and a dust mop mode. In other embodiments, a portion of the handle of the mop is adapted to hold and release a fluid, such as a cleaning solution. In these embodiments, the user may cause release of the fluid through one or more openings associated with the mop.

  • Publication number: 20070199169
Abstract: A cleaning implement is disclosed which provides a cleaning member rotatably connected to a base member. Attached to the base member is a first cleaning material, while a second cleaning material is attached to the cleaning member. The second cleaning material may be oriented in a different plane than the first cleaning material, allowing differently oriented surfaces to be cleaned. The cleaning member is adapted to rotate relative to the base member to allow the cleaning member to be oriented in a multitude of cleaning configurations. A method of cleaning, utilizing the cleaning implement of the invention, is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060091092
Abstract: A merchandise rack display system uses a vertical pegboard surface onto which a uniquely designed rack component is to be mounted. The rack component has front and rear rack panels interconnected by support elements. A spaced opening between the front and rear panels permits the handles of elongated products, such as mops and brooms which are mounted and hung from the pegboard surface, to extend through the opening. The rack also has provision for mounting a variety of display hooks for hanging or suspending merchandise in various locations on the front panel of the rack. Container baskets, uniquely configured to be mounted on the rack, provide added versatility to the system.

  • Patent number: 5845949
Abstract: A snow shovel comprises a longitudinally elongated handle and a curved generally rectangular blade receiving an end of the handle on the convex surface of the blade. The blade is curved respecting a transverse axis and includes a scraper support edge extending transversely to the handle, defining a blade extremity remote from the handle. The blade further includes an upstanding lip on its periphery not defined by the scraping edge, extending transversely to the blade in the direction of the blade concave surface, with the portion of the lip being parallel to the handle, preferably being canted inwardly towards the handle. The blade further has upstanding triangularly configured reinforcing gussets formed in the blade and protruding from the blade concave surface, generally parallel with the handle, with the gussets having heights and widths at least initially increasing with distance from the scraping edge.

  • Patent number: 5548864
Abstract: A tube is combined with a biased drift pin arrangement, which combination is useful for locking functions in coupling and decoupling separate tubes, or in locking-hinged dustpans, and so on. The tube has a wall formed with a pair of holes. The drift pin is formed on a leaf spring that has a base portion and a cantilever portion joined to the base portion for relative flexion therebetween. It is the cantilever portion that is formed with the drift pin, as well as a spaced push pin. The leaf spring inserts in the tube such that the drift and push pins are aligned to extend and retract through respective ones of the pair of holes. To wedge the leaf spring in place, a separate cartridge is sized and shaped to permit sliding insertion in to where respective abutment surfaces of the leaf spring and cartridge, respectively, mate each other.
