  • Patent number: 6155871
Abstract: An electric cable junction box assembly includes a main body having a hole herethrough. A junction box main connector assembly is fixed in the hole and is provided with electrical leads adapted to receive a main cable end connector. A junction box secondary connector assembly is fixed in a second hole in the body, the junction box secondary connector assembly being adapted to receive a secondary cable end connector. A wiring harness in the main body is connected to the junction box main connector assembly, and a branch of the wiring harness extends from a remainder of the wiring harness and is fixed to the junction box secondary connector assembly.

  • Patent number: 6077111
Abstract: A protective mounting assembly includes an electrical connector having a erproof body surrounding and protecting a waterproof interface. Components' signal leads are coupled to the interface at a first side thereof. A rigid foundation is rigidly coupled to the connector's waterproof body. A rigid positioning platform is rigidly coupled to the rigid foundation and defines at least one mounting position for the components. The components are positively oriented relative to the mounting positions. An elastomer material encapsulates the rigid foundation, positioning platform, components and a portion of the waterproof body in such a way that the connections at a second side of the connector's interface are accessible from the exterior of the elastomer material.

  • Patent number: 5969244
Abstract: A switch assembly and method of making same are provided. First and second eals are mounted in spaced apart relation about the elongate body of a delicate switch such as a reed switch. The resulting switch/seal assembly is inserted into a rigid housing that encases the switch and seals. The housing is in circumferential contact with each seal. The seals are spaced apart from one another to reside on either side of a port in the side of the housing so that an annular chamber is defined between the elongate body and the housing between the seals. A damping material is injected through the port to fill the annular chamber. The housing can extend past the elongate body at either end to define first and second open-ended chambers through which electrical leads extending from the elongate body pass through. The damping material can also be used to fill the first and second open-ended chambers once electrical connection to the leads is made.
