  • Patent number: 10367374
Abstract: Electrical power is shared wirelessly among electrical power-sharing hubs in a wireless mesh network. Each electrical power-sharing hub includes one or more transmitters and receivers for wireless communications with other hubs and wireless power transfer technology to transmit or receive electrical power with other hubs. If electrical power at a respective electrical power-sharing hub is insufficient to power an electrical load on the hub, the hub wirelessly requests that a specific amount of electrical power be transmitted to it wirelessly from one or more neighboring electrical power-sharing hubs. At least one of the neighboring hubs may send a portion or all of the requested power. If the neighboring hubs do not have electrical power to share, a request for power is wirelessly transmitted to non-neighboring hubs, at least one of which may relay available electrical power wirelessly to the requesting hub via the wireless mesh network.

  • Patent number: 9112547
Abstract: A distributed antenna system comprises a plurality of antennas and a multi-port hub. The multi-port hub comprises an interface to a telecommunications network and a plurality of transceivers. The multi-port hub is configured to operate in a first mode (“normal” mode) in which the multi-port hub receives a downlink communications signal via the interface and distributes the downlink communications signal to the plurality of antennas using a selected downlink transmission frequency within a downlink frequency range and in which the multi-port hub receives uplink communications signals from the plurality of antennas at a selected uplink receive frequency. The multi-port hub is also configured to operate in a second mode (“listening” mode) in which the multi-port hub receives communications signals from the plurality of antennas at one or more frequencies within the downlink frequency range.

  • Patent number: 8005050
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for localization of a mobile device in a distributed antenna communications system. In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, a distributed antenna system includes a plurality of distributed antennas that are communicatively coupled to a hub. A mobile communications device to be located is communicatively coupled to the hub via one or more of the antennas. The method for locating the mobile device comprises: receiving a message at the hub that identifies the mobile device to be located; discriminating among communications signals received from each of the distributed antennas using a channel and a spreading code to identify a signal from the mobile device; identifying messages from the mobile device to be located; and determining which of the antennas is closest to the mobile device to be located by monitoring received signal strength of the identified signal.

  • Publication number: 20040076706
Abstract: A mold station for hot shaping plate-shaped polymer-bound plastics, thermoplastics, mineral plastics, into three-dimensional molded bodies such as bathtubs, sinks, washbasins, washstands, facings and shields, furniture parts, work surfaces, window sills and the like with a mold arrangement accommodated in a frame and in which are located at least one mold part for receiving the material to be molded, a membrane clamped over the mold part. The membrane is substantially impermeable to gas and elastically stretchable. A pressure difference is generated between the two sides of the membrane, characterized by the additional provision in the frame of the mold arrangement of a heating or cooling arrangement with two plate-shaped heating or cooling elements for pre-tempering of the material to be molded that can move in two directions that are substantially vertical with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 4195050
Abstract: Method for making a filter which comprises a plurality of closely juxtaposed tubes made of a filter material and packed tightly in a tubular envelope. Both ends of the tubes are initially closed. The envelope with the tubes is then dipped to a small depth into a hardenable substance, e.g. latex, which fills the gaps between the tubes and on hardening forms a solid bottom on the envelope. A small length of the envelope and tubes is then severed to open one end of the tubes.
