    Abstract: The invention concerns a passenger car with longitudinally adjustable front seats which slide back and forth along inner and outer seat rails made of steel and with side door sills made of light-alloy extruded sections to which front and rear mounting brackets for the outer seat rails are welded. In order to obtain an additional, interlocking joint, the mounting brackets are designed with an upwardly extended lip which is receivingly engaged within a downwardly facing groove provided in a hook-like extension of the door sill extrusion.

    Abstract: A frame unit for a vehicle having a main frame unit adapted to support the main body of the vehicle comprising a pair of structural side members and a structural cross-piece member defining an integral extension unit having an H-shaped configuration, such extension unit including means disposed at the intersections of the side members and the cross-piece member and on rearwardly disposed sections of the side members for securing the extension unit to the main frame unit of the vehicle whereby sections of the side members extend forwardly to the main frame unit and are disposed in a crumple zone of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A window assembly, especially for the side door or doors of an automotive vehicle, comprises a window frame having a pair of generally parallel rails formed as channels opening toward a window pane which can be raised and lowered on the vehicle. The window pane is provided with guide shoes or like members received in and guided on the respective channels and affixed to the pane inwardly of respective edges thereof so that these edges can be engaged, even along the face of the pane provided with the shoes or guide members, by seals on the frame or vehicle body.
