  • Patent number: 10635672
Abstract: The present teaching relates to methods, systems, and programming for reconciling or merging real time data with bulk data. In one example, a first attribute value is obtained. The first attribute value characterizes an aspect of a data item. A second attribute value related to the first attribute value is obtained. The second attribute value characterizes the aspect of the data item. A scheme is selected to be used to determine a third attribute value to characterize the data item. The third attribute value is determined in accordance with the selected scheme as well as the first and second attribute values.

  • Patent number: 8880874
Abstract: In a method of biometric identity assurance, biometric data based on a biometric modality is stored in a memory of a first computer. The biometric data is converted into a biometric template which is transferred from the first computer memory to a memory of a second computer. The second computer determines an encryption key based on a combination of the biometric template with a biometric-hash file of the user. Multiple credential files previously distributed among multiple remote computers are assembled into a single user credential file at the second computer. The first computer receives the encryption key and the user credential file from the second computer and accesses user credentials stored in the user credential file based on decryption of the user credential file using the encryption key. Via the thus accessed user credentials, the first computer uses or accesses one or more digital resources of the user.

  • Patent number: 7865513
Abstract: In one embodiment, a knowledge base is automatically built for enriching feeds coming from different sources and that have tags of different conventions, by deducting which tags go into various categories of knowledge. In one embodiment, method for a relationship between objects is determined based on the relationships between their tags.

  • Publication number: 20090200137
Abstract: A pallet stacking assembly line having at least two pick-and-place robots are used. The first robot has a relatively low position. The second robot is in an elevated position. A pallet dispenser dispenses a first pallet onto a pallet conveyor The pallet conveyor moves the first pallet to a first build position in front of the first robot. The first robot picks products from a first pick position and stacks them on the first pallet. Once the stack of products on the first pallet reach approximately half the finished stack height, the pallet conveyor carries the first pallet to a second build position in front of the second robot. At the same time, the pallet dispenser dispenses a second pallet which is carried to the first build position. The second robot picks products from a second pick position and places them on the upper portion of the stack on the first pallet to complete the stack. Meanwhile, the first robot is picking and placing products on the lower portion of the second pallet.

  • Patent number: 7559737
Abstract: A new type of pallet stacking assembly line. Two pick-and-place robots are used. The first robot has a relatively low position. The second robot is in an elevated position. A pallet dispenser dispenses a first pallet onto a pallet conveyor. The pallet conveyor then moves the first pallet to a first build position in front of the first robot. The first robot then begins picking products from a first pick position and stacking them on the first pallet. Once the products on the first pallet reach approximately half the finished height, the pallet conveyor carries the first pallet over to a second build position in front of the second robot. At the same time, the pallet dispenser dispenses a second pallet which is carried to the first build position. The second robot picks products from a second pick position and places them on the upper portion of the first pallet in order to complete the stack. Meanwhile, the first robot is picking and placing products on the lower portion of the second pallet.

  • Publication number: 20050064396
Abstract: A method of identifying a compound that modulates the activity of a cellular regulator is provided. The method consists of contacting a sample containing a cellular regulator and a nucleic acid element acted on by the cellular regulator with a test compound under conditions that allow replication or expression of the nucleic acid element or a gene or MRNA operatively linked to the nucleic acid element or gene, and an increase or decrease in the amount of replication or expression in the presence of the test compound compared to the absence of the test compound indicates that the compound has cellular regulator modulatory activity. A method of treating a HCV infection is also provided.
