  • Publication number: 20160176300
Abstract: An apparatus for wirelessly receiving power from a wireless power transmitter is provided. The apparatus comprises an active switching rectifier operably connected to a coupler and configured to operate in a first bridge mode and a second bridge mode. The apparatus comprises a controller configured to adjust an input resistance of the rectifier to a first value that provides a first wireless power transfer efficiency when the rectifier operates in the first bridge mode. The controller is configured to adjust the input resistance of the rectifier to a second value that provides a second wireless power transfer efficiency less than the first wireless power transfer efficiency while operating within one or more operating limitations when the rectifier operates in the second bridge mode.

  • Publication number: 20160025821
Abstract: Guidance and alignment systems are disclosed for wireless charging systems to assist in aligning the transmitter and receiver inductive power transfer (IPT) couplers. These systems guide positioning and alignment to provide sufficient coupling between the transmitter and receiver IPT couplers. Exemplary systems provide a magnetic field sensor, magnetic field generator, and magnetic vectoring to determine a position of an electric vehicle or a wireless charging base. In a magnetic vectoring system, an alignment system comprising at least three coils (or similar circuits) on a magnetically permeable substrate receives a positioning magnetic field including modulated information signals and processes the received signal to generate an output for determining a position of the positioning magnetic field source relative to the magnetic field sensor position.

  • Publication number: 20150170833
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus including a magnetic flux device configured to transmit or receive magnetic flux. In certain configurations, the magnetic flux device can include a first coil with a first layer and second layer, a second coil with a third layer and fourth layer, and a magnetically permeable material with the first coil extending over a first edge of the magnetically permeable material and the second coil extending over a second edge of the magnetically permeable material. In certain other configurations, the magnetic flux device can include a first conductive structure including a first coil and a second coil enclosing a first area and a second area, respectively. The magnetic flux device can further include a second conductive structure with at least a first planar portion of the first conductive structure being substantially coplanar with a second planar portion of the second conductive structure.

  • Patent number: 7759585
Abstract: Distribution unit (21, 23) for distributing material into a number of delimited openings (23) arranged next to each other in such a manner that a transition (27) is provided between the individual openings; and wherein, in connection with the individual transition, a pushing unit (25) is arranged, wherein said pushing unit is arranged such that it is able to actively push material in a direction away from the transition. The distribution unit may partake in a weighing apparatus. Material settling in the transition is pushed down into one of the openings by the pushing unit.

  • Patent number: 4436818
Abstract: A plant for production of fuel gas by anaerobic fermentation of organic materials comprises a pit-like hemispherical fermentation chamber and a flexible and foldable cover which, when inflated, has the form of a complementary hemisphere and is in open communication with the fermentation chamber at the horizontal equatorial plane. Organic materials are introduced into the fermentation chamber to the level of said plane. The cover is weighted to be foldingly contracted when unpressurized and to be inflated to its hemispherical form by generated gas.

  • Patent number: 4135908
Abstract: A method of aerobic decomposition of organic solids involves mixing material containing the organic solids to be decomposed with relatively drier material in order to set an upper limit to the dampness of the mixture to be processed. An apparatus for aerobic decomposition includes a decomposition reactor in the form of a tower which tapers in the upward direction. The bottom of the reactor is square or rectangular in cross section and its top is oval or circular in cross section. The bottom of the reactor is made in the form of a roller grid. A mixing section is provided for mixing the material to be decomposed with relatively drier material.
