  • Patent number: 8010939
Abstract: The inventive method interacts with a project planning window, which has a working area at least with one window for a project planning level for displaying and linking graphic objects and with a window for a symbol library containing the graphic objects available for a project planning. To this end, graphic control objects are provided, which represent technical objects of the installation and graphic control unit objects, which represent control units that can be used for a control. In a first step, the control objects of a project planning are activated in the window for the system library and transmitted into the project planning level. In a second step, the transmitted control objects are, in the window of the project planning level, subsequently linked in a logical manner according to a control task. In a third step, at least one control unit object is activated in the symbol library and transmitted into the project planning level.

  • Patent number: 7904400
Abstract: A help system, an automation device with such a help system and a method for providing help data are disclosed. The help system includes a first offline help facility which is installed as part of an application on a data processing device, the first help facility providing a user with help data based upon context data defined by the user, the help data being stored in the first help facility and thus on the data processing device. A second online help facility is provided which is accessed by the data processing device via the internet such that the context data defined by the user in relation to the first help facility is automatically adopted in the second help facility as context data, the second help facility providing the user with additional help data based on this context data, the help data being stored in the second help facility.

  • Patent number: 7656896
Abstract: One embodiment relates to an automatic system comprising a plurality of subscribers which are connected to a common communication channel, whereby each of the subscribers automatically provides the diagnosis information associated therewith on the communication channel, another conversion station is connected to the communication channel and comprises a web server which converts the diagnosis information available in the communication channel into a single web-enabled format, the conversion station is connected to a service station via a network and the service station has a web browser and a display connected to the web browser, whereby the web browser converts the diagnosis information transmitted via the network into a single display format and the display is provided in order to display diagnosis information provided by the web browser.

  • Patent number: 7613998
Abstract: A method for automatically creating at least one dialog box on an operator interface of a computer user station, which is connected to an industrial process installation via at least one interface so as to transmit data (e.g., process data, status data, control and/or regulating data). The created dialog box displays the transmitted data of the process installation on the operator interface. Further, the data of the process installation that is to be displayed is assigned to certain, stored data types. The at least one dialog box is created on the operator interface of the computer user station so as to display the data to be graphically represented by means of display types (e.g., pointers, bars, numerical displays, etc.), which are assigned to the respective data types.
