  • Publication number: 20090184750
Abstract: An electronic device with polarity reversal protected connections and irreversibly interruptible programming connections, wherein the interruption is performed through safety elements provided in the programming paths, behind which safety elements diodes are disposed which block towards ground in normal operation, so that an overload current can be passed through the safety elements and through the diodes to ground through intentional polarity reversal of the respective connections, whereby the safety elements are destroyed and the programming conductors are irreversibly interrupted.

  • Publication number: 20090146645
Abstract: In order to be able to perform a measurement of the run time of an electrical impulse in a position sensor through a single slow timed timing generator, while still capable to achieve a high precision of the measurement result, the entire run time is determined, so that the number of the completely performed system timings is counted as a coarse time value, and the fractions thereof are counted as a fine time value, in which the electrical impulse is started at a fixed point in time of the system timing, e.g. at the beginning of the timing, and the difference value is measured between the end of the coarse time interval and the arrival of the wave as a fine time interval, which is then digitized and computed with the coarse time value.

  • Patent number: 7463021
Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor element and to a path sensor constructed therefrom. The optical waveguide accommodated inside a supporting body, for example, a tube has to be placed in a defined position with regard to the elements of a board. In order to obtain a design that is both simple and easy to assemble, the invention provides that the head board, without its own surrounding housing, is fixed, for instance, glued directly inside a recess of the supporting body that is tubular for the most part.

  • Publication number: 20070085726
Abstract: In order to improve e.g. at a magnetostrictive position sensor the measurement precision and the robustness of the time measurement in spite of low installation size and cost, it is suggested according to the invention to generate a digital position impulse with defined time width from the analog position impulse so, that the middle of the digital impulse is located at the middle of the analog impulse and the time interval can be determined as time differential between the start impulse and the middle of the digital impulse.
