  • Patent number: 4876998
Abstract: The oilpan of a low-noise crankcase is bolted to the downwardly extending ankcase sidewalls and has omega-shaped crosspieces extending transversely to the oilpan sidewalls and to the sidewalls of the crankcase, and the crosspieces are in alignment with the main bearing walls of the crankcase. The crosspieces form part of the oilpan and are connected to its sidewalls in such a manner that forces are propagated, the sidewalls being reinforced as compared to the bottom of the oilpan which is not reinforced. The oilpan is bolted to the crankcase by additional bolts located in pockets in the crosspieces on both sides of the cylinder axes, and are attached to the crankcase as far away from the outer walls thereof as possible.

  • Patent number: 4813387
Abstract: The present invention relates to an internal combustion, reciprocating pin engine with a piston which, on its up-stroke, sucks air or a fuel-air mixture via a flap valve or a similar device into the space beneath its base and, during the down-stroke, sends the then compressed gas via another flap valve or a similar device and a connecting passage to the inlet control ports of said internal combustion, reciprocating piston engine. The pump space of the piston pump which is formed by piston, cylinder liner and annular slide comprises an inlet passage and an outlet passage, equipped with diaphragm valves, respectively.

  • Patent number: 4694786
Abstract: A two-stroke internal combustion engine of the crankcase scavenging type, in which a nozzle connected to a lubricant feed line is provided in the intake passage for picking up oil from a lubricant reservoir via a partial vacuum. For simple and sufficient lubrication and cooling of the crank gear in accordance with the respective requirements of the engine, the nozzle (62) is positioned in the area of the smallest cross-section of a Venturi-tube-like part (60) of the intake passage, and an injection pump (54) is provided for fuel delivery, which eliminates the need for an oil pump.

  • Patent number: 4643135
Abstract: A known feature of internal combustion engines is that the cooling-water pump has an impeller which is rigidly connected with a squirrel cage rotor and which is driven without physical contact via the rotatory field of rotating permanent magnets. If such an engine is additionally provided with a flywheel generator, construction of the cooling-water pump is greatly simplified according to this invention, as the permanent magnets of the flywheel generator are simultaneously utilized for driving the impeller, and the water pump is positioned in a concentric recess of the flywheel, thereby saving space.

  • Patent number: 4624227
Abstract: A lubricating oil pump for a four-stroke internal combustion engine inclu a pump body; an annular gearwheel rotatably mounted around the outer perihery of the pump body, the annular gearwheel including projections on its outer surface to function as cams for valve control and including teeth on its inner surface; and a driving pinion mounted within the annular gearwheel and attachable to the crankshaft of the engine, the driving pinion including external teeth in meshing engagement with the internal teeth of the annular gearwheel such that the annular gearwheel rotates at half the speed of the driving pinion.
