  • Patent number: 11141792
Abstract: A processing machine includes a plurality of radiating modules disposed in a row, and a process chamber module configured to releasably attach to the plurality of radiating modules. The process chamber module includes a process chamber defining a processing field, a construction platform, a powder coater, and a powder reservoir. The powder coater is configured to apply a powder material layer-by-layer in a direction of the construction platform within the processing field. The powder reservoir is configured to infeed the powder material to the powder coater. Each radiating module includes a respective energy beam source configured to generate an energy beam, and a respective beam guide configured to guide the energy beam in a direction of the construction platform within a portion of the processing field. The portions of the processing field of two adjacent radiating modules partially overlap.

  • Publication number: 20170361405
Abstract: An irradiation system includes: a first beam source configured to output a first laser beam and a second beam source configured to output a second laser beam, in which the second laser beam has a higher beam quality higher than that of the first laser beam; optics arranged to focus the first and second laser beams; and a beam guiding system including a first beam path along which the first laser beam is guided, and a second beam path along which the second laser beam is guided, in which the beam guiding system includes a beam combiner to superimpose the first and second laser beams, the first beam source is a pump laser, the second beam source is a laser resonator, and the beam guiding system further includes a beam switch adapted to feed the first laser beam into a pump laser beam path and/or into the first beam path.

  • Patent number: 4217754
Abstract: A control device produces a control deviation signal representing the difference between the commanded engine speed and the actual engine speed. Before this signal is applied to a fuel control unit to establish the rate of fuel flow to the engine, its time derivative is limited to a value substantially proportional to the distance that the operating state of the engine is from the surge line. In one embodiment the control deviation signal is differentiated with a lag corresponding to the lag of the fuel control unit before effecting said limiting and, after said limiting is effected, is integrated with a lead corresponding to said lag.

  • Patent number: 4171613
Abstract: The commanded rotational speed is compared with the actual rotational speed to produce a deviation signal. This deviation signal is multiplied by a coefficient which is determined by state variables (speed and intake pressure) of the engine and a proportional component plus an integral component of the multiplication product is employed as a control signal. This control signal is checked to make sure that it is outside critical engine states associated with the actual performance of the engine. On this control signal is superposed a signal representing the steady-state fuel flow associated with the commanded rotary speed (or under some circumstances the actual rotary speed) to determine the fuel flow rate to the engine.
