Abstract: An example computing device according to the systems and methods described herein may include a camera to capture images of a user during operation of a computing device. The computing device may execute a plurality of applications, some of which may include application windows displayed on a display panel of the computing device. A gaze detection subsystem or module may detect a gaze direction of the user in each of the captured images. For each captured image, the gaze detection subsystem or module may compute or otherwise identify the user's focus on one or more application windows displayed on a display panel of the computing device. A brightness control module may modify the relative brightness of each application window displayed on the display panel based on a function of the frequency of user focus, duration of user focus, and recency of user focus on each respective application window.

First and second distance matrices having rows respectively corresponding to the first and second unregistered encodings are generated based on the registered encodings and the first and second unregistered encodings, respectively. A statistic is selected having a greatest difference between first and second distance vectors having values corresponding to the rows of the first and second distance matrices, respectively. Whether content of a new unregistered image corresponds to the content of the registered images is assessed by using the selected statistic.

Abstract: Described herein are systems, methods, and software to enhance firewall implementation for virtual machines. In one implementation, a method of managing firewall rules for a virtual machine includes identifying, in the virtual machine, an attach process for one or more applications to the virtual machine. The method further includes, identifying one or more firewall rules that correspond to the one or more applications and providing the one or more firewall rules to networking manager for the virtual machine.
