    Abstract: A portable sheath cutting tool is provided. Two collars engage the sheath of a cable at spaced positions along the same to hold the sheath in extended condition. A cylinder extends between and is rotatably supported on the collars and on the cylinder is mounted a support for turning movement about the cable. A circular saw is supported on the support in radial disposition relative to the cable. An adjusting device is provided for adjusting the radial location of the circular saw relative to the sheath. An electric motor is provided on the support for driving the circular saw through a gear train including a pair of bevel gears.
