    Abstract: A cogged belt comprising an elastic base (1) which incorporates a carrying element in the form of a strip (2) with crimped lugs (4), and inserts (6) for reinforcing the cogs of the belt, and which are (3) connected to the strip (2) by these lugs (4). The lugs (4) are arranged at the outer opposite sides of the strip (2) laterally of the cogs (3). The lugs (4) are interconnected by a pin (5) having an insert (6) mounted thereon.
