Abstract: An event-to-spectator prediction and hosting tool is a multiprocessor computing system having a first processor, a second processor, and at least one memory coupled to the multiprocessor computing system. The at least one memory stores computer instructions that direct the multiprocessor computing system to determine a minimum number of spectators per region (MIN_FANS), identify an event of interest (EVENT), and associate a plurality of regions of interest to the EVENT. Each of the plurality of regions of interest (REGION) has a defined geographic area. For each REGION, a stored first value is an estimated number of spectators (EST_NUM_FANS) for the EVENT in the associated REGION, and for each first value greater than or equal to MIN_FANS, a second value is determined. The second value is a number of gatherings to host, and for each second value, a venue to host a gathering to view the EVENT is selected, sometimes by auction.
