  • Patent number: 11061859
Abstract: Object creation from hierarchical metadata stored on a storage device is disclosed. A request to generate an object from a hierarchy of a plurality of metadata nodes identified in files stored in one or more directories in a file system of a storage device is received. At least some of the metadata nodes include one or more attribute-value pairs. Based on the hierarchy of the plurality of metadata nodes identified in the files, the object is generated. The object includes each attribute-value pair from each metadata node in a path of metadata nodes from a root metadata node to an object metadata node that corresponds to the object. The object is sent to a destination.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 19, 2018
Date of Patent: July 13, 2021

  • Patent number: 9898392
Abstract: A test automation tool detects a first set of parameters defining one or more software environments to be tested, where the first set of parameters includes at least a component to be tested. The test automation tool then identifies a general test plan, where the general test plan includes a first set of test cases, and where the first set of test cases are defined by the first set of parameters. The test automation tool detects a first set of test case relevancy rules for a first test case of the first set of test cases included in the general test plan. The test automation tool then creates an errata test plan based on the general test plan, where the errata test plan includes a second set of test cases.

  • Patent number: 8793659
Abstract: A method and system for phase-based testing of an operating system. The method may include detecting a failure when running a test of an operating system, identifying a phase in which the failure has occurred, and reporting the failure to a user, indicating the identified phase in which the failure has occurred.
