  • Patent number: 11961705
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for examining a beam of charged particles, including the following steps: producing persistent interactions of the beam with a sample at a plurality of positions of the sample relative to the beam and deriving at least one property of the beam by analyzing the spatial distribution of the persistent interactions at the plurality of positions.

  • Patent number: 11952581
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the production of polyunsaturated fatty acids in an organism by introducing, into the organism, nucleic acids which encode polypeptides with ?5-elongase activity. Advantageously, these nucleic acids can be expressed in the organism together with further nucleic acids which encode polypeptides of the biosynthesis of the fatty acid or lipid metabolism. Especially advantageous are nucleic acids which encode ?6-desaturases, ?5-desaturases, ?4-desaturases and/or ?6-elongases. These desaturases and elongases are advantageously derived from Thalassiosira, Euglena or Ostreococcus. The invention furthermore relates to a process for the production of oils and/or triacylglycerides with an elevated content of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, and oils and/or triacylglycerides thus obtained.

  • Patent number: 10680551
Abstract: A method determines a cabling of a unit of a photovoltaic system. The unit includes a number of solar components and a transfer point. The method includes generating a cabling chart with paths between a connection of each solar component and the transfer point according to cable routing regulations, determining preferred paths of each solar component to the transfer point based on the cabling charts, and selecting one of the determined paths for each solar component such that the cabling complexity for the unit is minimized. In the process, the cabling complexity is determined based on the sum of the lengths of the selected paths and the length of a cable channel in which the cables run individually or in a bundled manner.

  • Patent number: 8793008
Abstract: A method determines setups for constant tables of automatic placement machines in placement lines at predetermined table locations by mixed integer linear optimization based on input data describing the placement infrastructure and input parameters that can be specified by the operator or user. The method can be used regardless of the mounting technique used (for example, plug in mounting technique, surface mounting technique, or a hybrid technique). The method can be advantageously used with other methods, for example, cluster methods for forming setup groups or line balancing for cycle time optimization.

  • Patent number: 6678947
Abstract: Components are allocated to pipettes of different pipette types in accordance with an inverse greedy method or in accordance with a sequence of flow methods or a linear program as a result of which, for a given consecutive-ones characteristic of all the possible allocations, an optimun solution is ensured for a number of cycles, which can be predetermined, for the process of population a printed circuit board by means of an automatic placement machine.

  • Publication number: 20020059657
Abstract: This invention provides recombinant expression cassettes comprising a homeobox binding site having a sequence at least substantially identical to ATTATTACATGNG or ATTATTATTACATGNG operably linked to a heterologous plant target polynucleotide sequence. The recombinant expression cassette may be incorporated in a recombinant plasmid or integrated into the genome of a transgenic plant.
