  • Patent number: 11612466
Abstract: A hand tool apparatus is disclosed as providing an elongate, adaptive ergonomic handle portion. In at least one embodiment, the handle portion provides a pair of opposing handle ends. At least one of the handle ends provides an instrument portion. An at least one bendable core is positioned between the handle ends, the at least one core capable of being selectively bent into a variety of desired shape configurations, and substantially maintaining those shape configurations until the core is intentionally bent into a different desired shape configuration. As a result, the handle portion is capable of ergonomically conforming to a hand of a user while shifting a weight, as well as instrumentation forces and fulcrum of the apparatus and encouraging proper positioning of the instrument portion during use of the apparatus, regardless of the specific procedure to be performed using the apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20210307597
Abstract: An oral and oropharyngeal cancer screening system and associated methods are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the screening system provides an at least one oral and oropharyngeal cancer screening device configured for selectively capturing images of an oropharyngeal area of an at least one patient. The screening device provides an elongate, relatively compact housing, a distal end of the housing being selectively bendable. An imaging module is positioned within the housing, the imaging module providing a lens, an at least one light source, and an imaging sensor positioned in the distal end of the housing. A user application resides in memory on an at least one user device in selective communication with the at least one screening device. The user application is configured for receiving images captured by the at least one screening device and recording risk factors, automatically analyzing the captured images and potential health-risk factors to screen for OPML and oral and oropharyngeal risk.

  • Publication number: 20180369609
Abstract: Various types of medical devices incorporating a light therapy system are disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the medical device provides an ultrasonic driver and a light therapy driver. The ultrasonic driver provides an ultrasonic vibration signal output port and is configured to discharge an ultrasonic frequency vibration signal therefrom. The light therapy driver provides a laser light output port and is configured to discharge laser light therefrom. A handpiece housing of the medical device provides an input assembly connected to each of the ultrasonic vibration signal output port and laser light output port. The input assembly provides an ultrasonic tip assembly configured to output each of the vibration signal and laser light at an operational end of the tip assembly. Thus, the vibration signal and laser light are capable of being simultaneously or alternatingly delivered via the tip assembly.
