Abstract: In a method for recycling heterogeneous mixtures of materials resulting from size-reduction processes the heterogeneous mixture of materials is comminuted to form a comminuted intermediate product from which in a subsequent step comminuted particles of a preset size are separated. The selected comminuted particles are subjected to an agglomeration treatment for producing agglomerate particle product of a preset degree of agglomeration having an upper limit with respect to agglomerate particle size.

Abstract: A crushing device for crushing material such as scrap metal and refuse has a housing with a material feeding section and a material removal section for removing crushed material. A shaft with a rotor connected thereto is rotatably supported in the housing. The rotor comprises crushing members. The housing has abutments for cooperating with the crushing members. The feeding section is positioned below a horizontal plane in which the shaft is positioned. An outlet is positioned, when viewed in the rotational direction of the rotor, directly adjacent to and lower than the material feeding section for at least partially replacing the removal section.
