Publication number: 20210164180Abstract: A mobile collection device including a vehicle assisted working device for cleaning surfaces, and an autonomously self-driving robot vehicle. The working device includes a brush for detachment of extraneous material from the surface, a blower configured to provide an underpressure for a suction of the detached material into the air flow from the surface, and a cyclone configured to separate material from the air flow. The blower is configured to provide an overpressure and return of the separated air to the surface. The brush is configured to rotate counter-wise to a forward movement direction of the working device. The working device is configured such that the spot is treated in the following order: the blower provides the underpressure for the suction of the detached materials, the counter-rotating brush brushes the spot, and the blower provides the overpressure and return of the separated air to the surface via an air-knife.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 15, 2021Publication date: June 3, 2021Inventors: Jaakko HAPPONEN, Petri HEIKKINEN

Patent number: 10920385Abstract: A vehicle assisted working device for cleaning streets and similar surfaces includes at least one brush for detachment of the extraneous material from the surface, element for providing an underpressure for a suction of the detached material into the air flow from the surface, units for separating the detached material from the air flow and for providing an overpressure and return of the separated air to the surface. At least one brush is arranged to rotate counter-wise to the intended direction of movement of the working device, so that the element are ordered in such a way that when the working device is intended to move over a spot to be cleaned, it treats the spot in the following order: suction of the extraneous materials, at least one brush and mechanism for return of the separated air to the surface. Also disclosed are a system and method for cleaning.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 2018Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: SNOWEK OYInventors: Jaakko Happonen, Petri Heikkinen

Patent number: 8141436Abstract: A flow meter to be used in a hole drilled in the bedrock for measuring stream flows in bedrock fractures which are transversal to the hole. The flow meter comprises an elongated body having a cross section which is substantially smaller than the diameter of the hole; separating members placed at a distance from each other in the longitudinal direction of the body for separating the examined section from the other parts of the hole in a substantially pressure-tight manner; dividing members for dividing the examined section into two sectors in the longitudinal direction of the hole; and a flow channel extending through the body and equipped with a flow sensor for measuring the direction and rate of the flow between the sectors. In accordance with the invention, the dividing members are formed of thin and elastic sealing strips, which have been fixed to the body and, being substantially perpendicular to the surface of the body, arranged to surround and delimit the sectors.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2007Date of Patent: March 27, 2012Assignee: Posiva OyInventors: Jari Pöllänen, Petri Heikkinen, Pekka Rouhiainen
