Abstract: The invention concerns a method for feeding and removing a board to/from a gap of a periodically operating press. The board to be pressed is fed grip-supported to the gap of the press from one side and a board pressed in the previous operating cycle is removed grip-supported from the same or from the opposite side during the opening cycle of the press. The movement feeding the board to the press and the movement removing the board from the press are performed at least partially staggered with each other.

Abstract: An apparatus for applying glue onto a moving, plane object comprises inlet pipes of the glues a dispenser extending across the path of travel of the object of the dispensing, dispensing nozzles of the glue and means for controllably opening and interrupting the glue flow to the nozzles. The means for interrupting the flow comprise a cylindrical case formed into the frame of the dispenser, extending along the total length thereof, inlet channels for the glue leading to the case, nozzle channels leading out from the case and a pipe element mounted into the case with a sliding fit, said pipe element being equipped with openings for forming a flow connection between the inlet channels of the glue and the nozzle channels in one position of the pipe element with respect to the frame and for closing said flow connection in the second position of the pipe element with respect to the frame.

Abstract: Apparatus for applying glue to veneer sheets comprises elements (6, 7, 8) for transporting veneer sheets (3), supported substantially in a horizontal position, to the gluing, a glue applying device (2) for administering glue onto the veneer traveling under it, as well as elements (9, 10, 11) for directing the glued veneers (4), supported substantially in a horizontal position, to a further processing, said conveying elements being located with respect to each other so as to leave in the direction of transport a transfer gap aligned with the glue administering device (2). The device further includes means for forcing the veneer to be glued and the glued veneer at its center portion in the direction of transport to a different level than the edge portions thereof in the direction of transport.
