    Abstract: A method performed by a first node. The first node operates in a communications network. The first node receives, from a second node operating in the communications network, an indication. The indication acknowledges receipt, by the second node or a fourth node operating in the communications network, of a message sent by the first node to a third node operating in the communications network. The first node refrains, before going into sleep mode, from waiting to receive from the third node one of: a) an acknowledgement of receipt of the sent message, and b) a request for retransmission of the sent message. The refraining is based on the received indication.

The method comprises acquiring scope information of a local network and location information enabling determination of specific locations of resources in the local network. The method comprises generating Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) resource identifiers of the resources from the scope information and the location information. The method comprises providing the CoAP resource identifiers to a resource directory, thereby making the resources discoverable.

The mesh node (200) starts to act as an intermediate gateway and creates a new advertisement message (2:3) comprising a new initiated Bloom filter with a reduced fill rate. The new advertisement message is then transmitted (2:4) with the new Bloom filter while indicating that the new advertisement message originates from said original gateway (204).
