A locking structure on the skirt of the lid is situated on a tear off portion and comprises a plurality of flexible tabs positionable in an upwardly biased locked position each independently engaging the container within an annular cut away on the container wall below a locking rib. If the lid is removed with tear off strip still engaged, the flexible tabs are biased downwardly and may break off, exposing tampering.

    Abstract: A stack mold carrier for supporting a center mold section of an injection molding machine, including a platen assembly, is disclosed. The stack mold carrier includes a carrier base which includes a mold support portion for coupling with and supporting the center mold section. A linkage assembly is pre-installed on the carrier base and a first restraint system is provided for releasably retaining the linkage assembly in a first, non-operational position wherein the linkage assembly is fixed relative to the carrier base such that the stack mold carrier can be disposed on the platen assembly as an assembled unit. The stack mold carrier includes a second restraint system for releasably retaining the stack mold carrier on the platen assembly prior to connection with the center mold section.

The mold has a mold cavity plate (14) and a mold core plate (12) each secured to mold bases (16, 18), relatively movable between open and closed positions, each having opposing faces, the faces meeting to define a mold cavity between the two faces. At least one of the mold plate faces defines a facial pocket (40) therein for insertion of a mold insert (30). The mold insert is secured to an insert rod (36). The mold plate having the facial pocket (40) defines a passageway (46) extending from the facial pocket through the plate (12) and mold base (16). The insert rod is insertable into the passageway to a position where the insert sits within said facial pocket at a prelock position, where said insert is only partially inserted into said facial pocket. Preferably, the insert is biased in this prelock position.
