Publication number: 20230202722Abstract: A container system including a lid and a container is provided. A locking structure on the skirt of the lid is situated on a tear off portion and comprises a plurality of flexible tabs positionable in an upwardly biased locked position each independently engaging the container within an annular cut away on the container wall below a locking rib. If the lid is removed with tear off strip still engaged, the flexible tabs are biased downwardly and may break off, exposing tampering.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 6, 2021Publication date: June 29, 2023Inventors: Vincenzo CICCONE, Jerko KNEZOVIC, Petrica MARAN, Deddy DARMAWAN

Publication number: 20220396019Abstract: A stack mold carrier for supporting a center mold section of an injection molding machine, including a platen assembly, is disclosed. The stack mold carrier includes a carrier base which includes a mold support portion for coupling with and supporting the center mold section. A linkage assembly is pre-installed on the carrier base and a first restraint system is provided for releasably retaining the linkage assembly in a first, non-operational position wherein the linkage assembly is fixed relative to the carrier base such that the stack mold carrier can be disposed on the platen assembly as an assembled unit. The stack mold carrier includes a second restraint system for releasably retaining the stack mold carrier on the platen assembly prior to connection with the center mold section.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 5, 2020Publication date: December 15, 2022Inventors: Vincenzo CICCONE, Petrica MARAN

Patent number: 8128397Abstract: A crossover nozzle system for transferring molten plastic from an inlet at the center of the stationary platen of an injection machine to the main manifold of the molding chambers of the stack molds of the injection molding machine. The crossover nozzle system incorporates liquid cooling to create a high viscosity viscous seal from molten plastic at a parting line between moveable components. Accordingly, no other seal is required between the components.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2010Date of Patent: March 6, 2012Assignee: Injectnotech Inc.Inventors: Vince Ciccone, John M. Plut, Petrica Maran

Publication number: 20100166908Abstract: A crossover nozzle system for transferring molten plastic from an inlet at the center of the stationary platen of an injection machine to the main manifold of the molding chambers of the stack molds of the injection molding machine. The crossover nozzle system relies on molten plastic pressure within the system to actuate the primary sprue shut-off valve, and thus to open and close the flow of molten plastic to the molds. Therefore, a drool-free valve mechanism is created without needing an external actuation of the shut-off valve like, for instance, a hydraulic or a pneumatic cylinder.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2009Publication date: July 1, 2010Applicant: Injectnotech Inc.Inventors: Vince Ciccone, John M. Plut, Petrica Maran

Patent number: 7427197Abstract: A crossover nozzle system for transferring molten plastic from an inlet at the center of the stationary platen of an injection machine to the main manifold of the molding chambers of the stack molds of the injection molding machine. The nozzle system has a sprue bar, a sprue bar extension adjustably connected with the sprue bar, the sprue bar extension having a transfer chamber. The nozzle system also has symmetrically placed inlet apertures located in the sprue bar, the apertures are configured to be in fluid communication centrally with the transfer chamber in the sprue bar extension, and a shut-off surface configured to seal the transfer chamber from the inlet apertures.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2007Date of Patent: September 23, 2008Assignee: Injectnotech Inc.Inventors: Vince Ciccone, John M. Patent number: 7291000Abstract: An insert system for an injection mold apparatus is provided. The mold has a mold cavity plate (14) and a mold core plate (12) each secured to mold bases (16, 18), relatively movable between open and closed positions, each having opposing faces, the faces meeting to define a mold cavity between the two faces. At least one of the mold plate faces defines a facial pocket (40) therein for insertion of a mold insert (30). The mold insert is secured to an insert rod (36). The mold plate having the facial pocket (40) defines a passageway (46) extending from the facial pocket through the plate (12) and mold base (16). The insert rod is insertable into the passageway to a position where the insert sits within said facial pocket at a prelock position, where said insert is only partially inserted into said facial pocket. Preferably, the insert is biased in this prelock position.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2003Date of Patent: November 6, 2007Assignee: Injectnotech, Inc.Inventors: Vince Ciccone, Petrica Maran
