  • Publication number: 20160238065
Abstract: The invention relates to a bush for filling the space between a base jacket and an outer jacket of a cylinder for use in flexo-printing, the cylinder being a sleeve or anilox roller, wherein the bush is manufactured by means of 3-D printing. A bush manufactured by means of 3-D printing can be manufactured in lighter form and with a greater bending stiffness than prior art foam bushes. The invention also provides a sleeve for use in flexo-printing, comprising a base jacket, a bush of the above stated type and an outer jacket, wherein the bush is connected to the base jacket and the outer jacket is arranged by means of lamination on the external tube of the bush. The invention further provides a method for manufacturing a bush for filling the space between a base jacket and an outer jacket of a sleeve for use in flexo-printing, wherein the bush is manufactured by means of 3-D printing.

  • Publication number: 20150217519
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for forming a workpiece by 3-D extrusion, wherein the device is provided with three vertical spindles drivable by spindle motors, a horizontal work platform for the workpiece connected to the spindles, wherein the vertical position of the work platform at the position of the spindles is adjustable by these spindles, a displacing member for horizontal displacement of an extrusion head and a control member for controlling the spindle motors, the displacing member and the extrusion head, wherein the device comprises a measuring device for measuring the vertical position of the work platform at the spindles and the control member is configured to move the work platform close to the extrusion head, to measure the vertical position of the work platform at each spindle and to correct the vertical position of the work platform by means of the spindle motors. The extrusion head thus always moves parallel to the work platform.

  • Publication number: 20070261580
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for positioning a flexible printing plate on a carrier, comprising the following steps of: placing on a table the flexible printing plate for positioning; determining the position of the printing plate by means of a visual display device; and depending on the position, moving the printing plate to its end position on the carrier, wherein the position of the carrier is sensed in the vicinity of the final position and the carrier is moved to its end position depending on the position sensed in the vicinity of the final position. The positioning takes place much more accurately as a result of these measures.

  • Publication number: 20050028702
Abstract: The invention relates to a positioning apparatus for positioning flexible printing plates on printing cylinders, wherein the printing plates are provided with at least one mark functioning as reference, wherein the apparatus comprises: a support device for a printing cylinder; at least one camera which is adapted to record the image of the at least one mark of the printing plate positioned on the printing cylinder; and a monitor for enlarged display of the image recorded by the at least one camera, wherein the positioning apparatus is provided with a registering device for registering the image recorded by the camera. Using such a registering device it is possible to establish that the marks are located at the correct position. By making a copy of the data thus inputted into the register, evidence can be provided that the flexible printing plate is placed in the correct manner.
