  • Patent number: 5496183
Abstract: Module terminals comprising a column of right angle contacts are assembled to a housing module for receiving post header terminals at one end and inserted into complimentary holes of a printed circuit board on the other end. Interposed between adjacent terminal modules are shielding members that serve to limit crosstalk between adjacent rows of contacts. The shielding members are attached to over-moulded insulative webs of the terminal module and are resiliently biased thereagainst so that they ensure good contact of an integral grounding pin with one of the right angle contacts of the terminal module and also to ensure a flush fit of the grounding shield against the terminal module.

  • Patent number: 5135414
Abstract: The tab is for mating with an electrical receptacle having oppositely bowed, gold plated, contact surfaces. The tab has a gold plated contact portion, one side of which is formed with two small radius, smoothly convex ribs extending along opposite margins of the one side for good wiping contact with one of the contact surfaces of the receptacle. The opposite side of the contact portion is formed with a single, smoothly arcuate rib for engaging the other contact surface of the receptacle to provide high durability contact therewith, the single rib being of much greater radius than either of the two ribs.

  • Patent number: 4498721
Abstract: A connector for mounting a planar leadless electronic package (100) on a substrate (300) comprises a housing (1) carrying elastomeric contact structures (200), and a spring lid (7) which in use engages a package (100) in the connector and urges it towards the substrate (300), the lid (7) having portions (11) which engage with bolts (12) by which the connector is secured to the substrate (300) whereby the housing (1) is relieved of forces in the lid (7).

  • Patent number: 4267412
Abstract: An electrical switch comprises a base (1) of electrically insulating material carrying an input contact (2) and a plurality of output contacts (3); a bridging contact (5) fixedly mounted on the base (1) in permanent connection with the input contact (2), and having a plurality of resilient contact arms (6) respectively associated with the output contacts (3), and an operating member mounted on the base and formed with a plurality of cam projections (11) adapted and arranged to engage the contact arms (6) of the bridging contact (5) as the operating member (8) is moved relative to the base (1), thereby to urge the contact arms (6) into contact with the associated output contacts (3).

  • Patent number: 4203203
Abstract: An electrical connector is formed from a lamina of elastomeric material having conductive tracks on one surface by folding the lamina and bonding opposed lamina portions together. The conductive tracks extend around the fold between contact portions on opposite surfaces of the connector. Suitably the lamina is of thermoplastic material so that bonding is by fusion and the conductive tracks may be flush with the connector surfaces. The connector is formed in a U-shaped nest under pressure and the lamina is formed about a core of elastomeric material.
