  • Patent number: 9932180
Abstract: A packaging dispenser, for dispensing stacks of nested trays to a packing device, has a frame, a first conveyor for conveying and supporting a first plurality of stacks of nested trays in a first level, and a second conveyor downstream of the first conveyor for receiving stacks of nested trays from the first conveyor. The packaging dispenser also includes a vertical chute underneath the second conveyor for dispensing stacks of nested trays to a packing device. The second conveyor has a pair of laterally spaced conveyor elements for supporting only lateral edge regions of a stack of nested trays. The laterally spaced conveyor elements are retractable to allow a stack of nested trays, supported thereon, to be released into the chute. The packaging dispenser can further be provided with a tray separator upstream of the chute for loosening individual trays of a stack, while keeping the trays in a stacked and nested arrangement.

  • Publication number: 20090292761
Abstract: A desired file (182) of a filesystem (105) is recovered from a data stream (160) for use by a multimedia services application (181, 252) at a client (150), such as a Multimedia Home Platform (MHP) client. The DSMCC module (175) in the middleware (254) of the client is bypassed to avoid potential problems and reduce computational complexity. The filesystem is provided in modules (130, 140, 150), while the modules are provided in sections (161, 163, 165, 167), in a Digital Storage Media-Command and Control (DSM-CC) carousel. The multimedia services application recovers the desired file directly by filtering the data stream to recover the sections, and recover a module from the recovered sections, using an associated identifier. The multimedia services application recovers the desired file from the recovered module using an object key that indicates the location of the desired file in the recovered module.

  • Publication number: 20060165229
Abstract: A method is disclosed for replacing an existing ITNC (1) by a new ITNC (3). This method requires no new point-code for the new ITNC (3), and is less complex than existing procedures for replacing an ITNC. A step of this method is to configure the new ITNC (3) off-line while it is no part of the telecommunication network The new ITNC (3) can be configured the same or almost the same as the ITNC (1) to be replaced. ITNC (3) can have a corresponding point-code and an administrative name that are the same as ITNC (1). Another step of the method is to reduce the amount of traffic routed to and from the old ITNC (1) until zero. This can be done without any significant changes in the telecommunication- and administrative systems of other operators. After this, the new ITNC (3) can be installed in the telecommunication network. During the installation all the traffic is routed by one or more other ITNC's contained by the domain (8) of the operator that replaces ITNC (1).

  • Publication number: 20060164099
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inputting an information signal into a power cable which is connected to a voltage supply and which comprises at least one or more conductors, a dielectric provided around the conductors and a conductive earth sheath arranged wholly or partially around the dielectric, the method comprising of inputting a pulse-like information signal at a first position via the earth sheath in order to produce a corresponding pulse-like information signal which is propagated to a second position in the dielectric of the power cable.

  • Patent number: 6361329
Abstract: The invention pertains to a header or receptacle for use in a power connector, comprising a housing provided with at least two power contact elements having a mating end, a retaining portion for retaining the contact element in the housing, and a tail for connecting the contact element to a printed circuit board, cable, or the like. The retaining portion of the contact element and, preferably, also the mating end are cylindrical and a fixation element is placed between the tails, thus fixing the position of the tails relative to one another and avoiding contact between the mating ends of the contact elements.

  • Patent number: 5707242
Abstract: A system or connector/board assembly for electrically detachably interconnecting component boards (1) having connectors (10, 13) positioned opposite one another on both sides of a board (1). The connectors (10, 13) are each mounted rigidly on the board (1) because at least one terminal end (24) of a contact element (16, 18; 17, 19) of a connector (10, 13) is received in a hole (27) of a pattern (26) of holes (27) provided in the board (1), which terminal end (24) is provided with means (25) for the clamping mounting thereof in the respective hole (27). In this manner, connectors (10, 13) can be mounted adjacently on the component board (1) without the loss of position of a contact element.

  • Patent number: 5069638
Abstract: A connector is provided with at least one contact element for making a clamping connection to a conductor of, for example, a cable. The contact element is provided with a spring-loaded and pivotable wall having an edge for acting on the conductor, which edge comprises a boundary edge of an opening or channel in the wall. The other end of the contact element is rigidly connected and fixed to the housing at its base where it acts as a pivot point for the spring-loaded wall of the contact element.
