The process may include receiving a user request to obtain information about trips; obtaining a geographic location of the user; selecting, with a computer, an origin based on both a distance from the geographic location of the user to a geographic location of the origin and a trip-volume value indicative of an amount of trips departing from the origin; obtaining a trip departing from the selected origin; and presenting the obtained trip to the user via a graphical user interface.
