Abstract: A prosthesis adapted to be formed and reformed to a model made of a person's body part, and comprised of a blank member of cured vinyl plastic or the like prepared for formation and reformation and to be softened to a plastic condition at raised temperature substantially below its previous curing temperature and brought into conformity with the model countours and permitted to return to room temperature for hardening, and thereafter stripped from the model for use.

Abstract: A prosthesis of the hand and including a thumb and at least one finger, and other fingers as may be required, and a forearm socket, and comprised of at least said one finger articulated and biased in opposition to an adjustably fixed thumb, thereby providing a grip adapted to yield to forcible entry of an object therein and released by angular movement of the upper arm relative to the lower arm through a pull cord that operates to withdraw said finger or fingers from prehensile grasp with an object held against the thumb by said bias.

Abstract: A chair or the like having a frame comprised of spaced parallel rails between which a plurality of juxtapositioned rungs are adjustably displaced according to a prescription which determines a supporting contour for the seat or back of said chair. Several rungs are provided, and each with a distinct offset mounting by means of which a substantial selection of displacements are obtained for fixed positioning of the rungs, there being flexible cushioning overlying the rungs for determined support of a person seated thereon.

Abstract: A practical and safe shower shade that is retractable for storage and extensible for use, and embodied in a housing that is anchored by opposed plates to the opposite stiles of a stall or the like, the retractile force and the extensibility being adjustable upon installation, and manual control being provided for release of the shade for its retraction into the housing for storage. The shade per se, the supporting roller and the housing elements are formed to a dimension (nominal or specified) to accomodate the stall opening, while the mounting plates, retraction means and extension limiting means remain the same for all installations.
