  • Patent number: 8543527
Abstract: A method and system is provided for use in business intelligence and reporting. The method and system are able to implement one or more definable actions when presented with data. The data may be produced by a business intelligence application. The actions may relate to activities performed by a user or an agent. The system comprises an action manager, a repository, a data association manager and an implementation engine. In one embodiment a data mining engine is provided. The system enables the availability of an action in response to the execution of analytic queries to be determined based on a relationship defined by the data association manager. If an action is available, an action definition is used to invoke a target in response to selection of the action by an entity, the invocation of the target including propagating data produced by an analytic engine into the target based on metadata to perform the action.

  • Patent number: 8200825
Abstract: The present invention comprises a system for the control of multiple remote resources. A plurality of user stations, each comprising a keyboard, video screen and a mouse, communicate with a server management unit. The server management unit is comprised of a server chassis, matrix switch and a switch server. Remote resources are each connected to a port of a multiplexer or to a server interface. A user station connects to a remote resource by making a request to the server management unit. The switch server identifies the multiplexer or server interface port to which the resource is connected from a database. A request is made to a remote interface server connected to the multiplexer and server interfaces and the remote interface server connects the appropriate ports of the server management unit and the multiplexer or server interface.

  • Publication number: 20090280374
Abstract: There is provided a process for sealing a coolant plate to an adjacent bi-polar plate or coolant plate in an electrochemical cell. The first coolant plate comprises at least one mating region for mating with a complementary region on the adjacent plate, the adjacent plate is a second coolant plate or a bipolar plate of the electrochemical cell, and the first coolant plate and the adjacent plate each comprise a polymer and conductive filler. The process comprises the step of welding the mating region to the complementary region to create a seal formed by the polymer at the mating region and the complementary region. Welding may be done using resistance welding or vibration welding processes.

  • Publication number: 20090280392
Abstract: An electroconductive integrated substrate and a process of producing the same, which comprises a porous conductive gas diffusion layer having large number of pores with significant gas permeability, and a gas impermeable electroconductive flow field plate having landing surfaces laminated on the surface of gas diffusion layer and integrally bonded to thereto by the molten composite from the landing surface. There is provided a process for joining the gas diffusion layer to a flow field plate in an electrochemical cell. The process comprises the step of welding the landing surface of the flow field plate to the gas diffusion layer using resistance welding.

  • Publication number: 20060188773
Abstract: There is provided a process for joining a gas diffusion layer to a separator plate of an electrochemical cell. The gas diffusion layer comprises a porous body that allows a reactant gas to diffuse through the gas diffusion layer. The separator plate comprises at least one landing surface formed on a surface of the separator plate, and the separator plate and landing surface comprising a polymer and conductive filler. The process includes the step of welding the landing surface to the gas diffusion layer by impregnating some of the polymer on the landing surface within a portion of the porous body.

  • Patent number: 7074450
Abstract: A method for making a dehydrated mashed potato product by cooking fresh potatoes including defects, ricing the cooked potatoes by urging the same through multiple openings in a ricing barrier to form riced moist potato pieces exiting the ricing barrier separated from potato defects which do not pass through the ricing barrier, reforming (e.g., by extrusion) the riced moist potato pieces by applying pressure to form riced, reformed moist potato pieces, and drying the riced, reformed potato pieces to a moisture content of about 5–10%. A dried mashed potato product comprising dried potato pieces which reconstitute in water at 180° F. under light stirring conditions to a mashed potato product having soft lumps characteristic of fresh mashed potatoes at a concentration of about 10 g to 80 g of soft lumps per 400 g of rehydrated product.
