Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for preparing notes stored in a user repository. A method includes, at a user device having memory and one or more processors, generating based on content previously stored in a note, a note preview including note identifying information, and causing presentation, via the user device, of the note preview including the note identifying information. The method includes, responsive to user selection of the note preview, causing presentation, via the user device, of the note associated with the note preview. The method also includes while displaying the note associated with the note preview, receiving user input to include additional content in the note, and responsive to the user input to include additional content in the note, modifying the note and the note preview based on the additional content. The method further includes storing the note in the user repository.

Abstract: The various implementations described herein include methods, devices, and systems for obtaining and presenting personal and public search results. In one aspect, a method includes: (1) receiving a search query from a user; (2) extracting terms from the search query; (3) determining whether relevant notes exist within a personal database of the user by comparing the extracted terms to stored notes of the user within the personal database; (4) obtaining public search results for the search query; (5) obtaining search results information by analyzing the public search results; (6) determining whether additional relevant notes exist by comparing the search results information to the stored notes of the user; (7) preparing note information for the relevant notes; and (8) concurrently presenting at least a subset of the prepared note information and at least a subset of the public search results to the user.

The user may be presented with either a suggested list of notebooks and/or a suggested list of tags for the website informationa. The content of the website information that is clipped may be advantageously controlled by a website owner/publisher. Using website clips, identified as “notes,” previously stored by a visitor, currently displayed website content may be accordingly modified in connection with identified relevant notes and/or a notification may be displayed on the current website for a particular visitor identifying stored relevant notes of the visitor.

Abstract: Sharing modifications of a document among a plurality of authors includes publishing the document using a service that is accessible by at least some of the authors and propagating modifications by a first one of the authors to other ones of the authors by sending change information to the other one of the authors, wherein the change information includes a pointer to the document, an indication of the modifications, and an identification of the first one of the authors and wherein the change information does not include the document. The service may be a cloud service. Change information may be sent using email. The identification of the first one of the authors may include a routing ID, where the routing ID facilitates locating the first one of the authors on the Internet. The routing ID may be an email address of the first one of the authors.

Abstract: Presenting database items includes providing a plurality of clusters, where each of the clusters is formed by grouping database items according to location information associated therewith, creating a plurality of geographic elements based on the clusters, and presenting the geographic elements to a user using a note atlas that represents all of the geographic elements corresponding to a set of the database items, where indicators of corresponding clusters are provided with each of the geographic elements. A quantity of database items may be provided with each of the corresponding clusters. The note atlas may show at least two levels of detail corresponding to a world level of detail, a points of interest level of detail and a city level of detail. Points of interest may be determined by having a user provide points of interest on a map.

Abstract: Providing analytics information from a cloud service includes maintaining an analytics database that is separate from data and servers accessed by users of the cloud service, selectively pushing information from the cloud service to the analytics database, where data and servers accessed by users of the cloud service are inaccessible for direct access by the analytics database, and allowing users limited access to the analytics database, where users of the analytics information that are accessing the analytics database are restricted from accessing data and servers of the cloud service. The analytics database may include a first database of adapted database records and a second database of dynamic logs of service related events. The adapted database records may be initially formed using the data and servers accessed by users of the cloud service prior to being pushed to the analytics database.

Abstract: Handling data for a photographic image, includes detecting a reference pattern in the data, detecting at least one sticker in the data, determining an action associated with the at least one sticker, and performing the action on the data. The reference pattern may be a uniform grid pattern of dots preprinted on paper. A paper type may be determined according to the reference image. Determining an action associated with the at least one sticker may depend, at least in part, on the paper type. Detecting a particular one of the stickers may cause data for the photographic image to be stored in a particular location. Detecting a particular one of the stickers may cause data for the photographic images to be assigned particular tags used for organizing and searching.

Abstract: Sharing data between applications includes a first application converting data from a first format useable by the first application to a second format useable by a second application and the first application providing editing restrictions to restrict the second application from editing at least some of the data in the second format. At least some of the editing restrictions may prohibit editing at least some of the data by the second application. The user may receive a notification in connection with attempting to edit at least some of the data indicating that editing is prohibited. At least some of the restrictions may provide a warning to a user of the second application. The user may choose to edit the restricted data after receiving the warning.

Abstract: Providing information to a participant of an upcoming meeting includes determining a list of participants of the meeting, determining an agenda of the meeting, analyzing a content collection to determine relevant portions of the collection that relate to the meeting, and providing the relevant portions of the content collection to the participant prior to the meeting. Providing the relevant portions may include causing the relevant portions to be displayed on smart glasses of the participant. Providing the relevant portions may include causing the relevant portions to be sent to a mobile device of the participant. The mobile device may use an operating system selected from the group consisting of: iOS, Android OS, Windows Phone OS, Blackberry OS and mobile versions of Linux OS. The relevant portions of the content collection may be provided automatically to the participant.

Abstract: Gathering information related to a meeting includes confirming that the meeting has occurred, analyzing an item submitted to a content collection to determine if the item relates to the meeting, and, if the item relates to the meeting, adding the item to a cluster of materials associated with the meeting, the cluster of materials being part of the content collection. The item may be a document created during a meeting at a meeting location using at least one of the following: a traditional whiteboard, an electronic whiteboard, an Easel Pad, an IdeaPaint wall, a dry erase surface, a presentation, and materials posted online by meeting participants. The item may include as least one photograph of handwritten materials created during the meeting and added to the content collection. Analyzing an item may include determining similarities between the item and the meeting.

Abstract: Presenting content includes selecting a subset of content items from a content collection, where at least some of the subset of content items includes a plurality of objects selected from the group of categories consisting of: text, images, web clips, HTML clips, audio clips, video clips, links to external web content, document attachments, and multimedia attachments and includes displaying content items from the subset of content items on a presentation screen, where intelligent navigation facilitates scanning through objects included with each of the content items. The intelligent navigation may use a dedicated button, a keyboard shortcut and/or a multi-touch gesture for scanning through objects. The intelligent navigation may allow scrolling through objects by category. Presenting content may also include automatically forming a first cover note having a first table of contents listing titles of at least a first portion of the subset of content items and corresponding links thereto.
