  • Patent number: 11043149
Abstract: A reversible sign, such as a highway sign, by which either of at least two informational messages may selectively be displayed. The sign is easily reversed, so that one of the two messages is visible to oncoming viewers. The sign includes an outer frame portion in which a planar central, inner, message portion or panel is rotatably disposed. The sign is temporarily held in position to display the desired message, until the message is deliberately but easily changed by rotating the message panel. Axle assemblies are provided for rotatably mounting the message panel within the outer frame. Magnetic fasteners reliably but releasably hold the inner message panel in a desired display position in relation to the outer frame.

  • Patent number: 9573310
Abstract: An apparatus and method for fabricating a panel from a molten composite material, and a panel product fabricated accordingly. Two platens in spaced relation define a gap which decreases uniformly from first ends of the platens toward second ends of the platens. Molten composite material is moved through the decreasing gap to compress the material between the platens. Cooling drums cool the composite panel shortly after extrusion. A mesh is rolled into a surface of the extruded panel; the screen remains partially exposed on the panel surface to provide a panel surface amenable to the application of adhesives.

  • Patent number: 4655435
Abstract: A cattle guard has a grid with a plurality of spaced bars lying transverse to the direction of travel across the guard. The bars are supported by a plurality of spaced beams lying beneath the bars. The grid, in turn, is supported by a base in the ground. The base comprises a pair of side members positioned transverse to the direction of travel across the guard. Each of the side members has a side wall with a box-like flange member lying normal to the side wall and extending into the base. The grid rests on the flange member when the cattle guard is assembled and retained in position with respect to the base by locking elements. A plurality of columns extend between upper and lower walls of the flange member to support the grid. The base has a pair of end walls fastened to the side members during installation to complete the construction of the base.
