  • Publication number: 20230372874
Abstract: A device for substance exchange between a first medium, in particular blood, and a second medium, in particular a gas/gas mixture, includes a housing element in which there is arranged a hollow-fiber bundle containing substance-permeable hollow fibers which extend axially between the axial ends of the housing element and at their respective axial end region are potted with a potting compound, at least among one another, and around which the first medium can flow and through which the second medium can flow. Also, a method for producing the device is provided.

  • Publication number: 20230085854
Abstract: A winding system for winding up concatenated hollow fibers onto a winding core includes a winding core of a device for the mass transfer and/or heat exchange between two media and which winding core is to be inserted together with the hollow fibers wound thereon, into the housing of the device and to remain therein, and at least one coupling element, preferably two coupling elements, wherein the at least one coupling element has two axially opposing connecting regions and is temporarily connectable, by means of the first connecting region, to the winding core for conjoint rotation therewith, and is temporarily connectable, by means of the second connecting region, with a drive for conjoint rotation therewith, the drive being provided for the rotation of the winding core about a winding axis.

  • Patent number: 11161077
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a device for a mass transfer between two fluids, wherein at least one hollow-fiber mat (9) is wound on an at least partly hollow core assembly (1, 1a, 1b, 2), and the formed coil is inserted into a housing (10). The assembly of the housing (10) and the coil is then sealed (10), in particular potted, with a sealant at the opposing axial ends in the regions between the hollow-fiber ends and the housing. The core assembly (1, 2) is made of at least two axially adjacent core parts (1, 1a, 1b, 2) arranged one behind the other, at least one (1, 1a, 1b) of which has a hollow design, and the core parts (1, 1a, 1b, 2) are kept in specified axial positions relative to each other, in particular at a distance to each other, by means of at least one aid element (7) at least over the period of the sealing process and preferably over the period of the winding process as well.

  • Publication number: 20210275734
Abstract: A device for mass transfer between blood and at least one gas/gas mixture, includes first and second chambers through which blood is able to flow and in each of which a respective plurality of mass-permeable hollow fibers are disposed around a respective axially extending core element, wherein a gas/gas mixture is able to flow through, and blood is able to flow around, the hollow fibers, wherein the second chamber follows the first chamber in the blood flow direction, wherein the first and second chambers are disposed next to one another, and in particular disposed spaced apart between the core element center axes thereof, and the two chambers have a connection in an axial end region by which the chamber volumes through which blood is able to flow are connected, and in particular are connected in the direction of the spacing.
