  • Patent number: 9912775
Abstract: Various systems and methods for transmitting a message to a secondary computing device are described herein. An apparatus comprises a context processing module, a context-aware message mode module, and a message retrieval module. The context processing module retrieves a context of a user of a primary computing device. The context-aware message mode module identifies a message mode for communicating with a secondary computing device of the user based on the context. A message retrieval receives a communication message at the primary computing device, determines that the communication message is to be transmitted to the secondary computing device of the user based on the message mode, and based on the determining, translates the communication message into a translated message according to the message mode and transmits the translated message to the secondary computing device from the primary computing device.

  • Publication number: 20140344687
Abstract: Examples are disclosed for interpreting a natural user interface (UI) input event. In some examples, sensor information may be received during a command for an application. The command input may be interpreted as a natural UI input event. For some examples, context information related to the command input may cause a context to be associated with the natural UI input event. The context may then cause a change to how media content may be retrieved for the application. Other examples are described and claimed.

  • Publication number: 20140215507
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a media processing device that can create a personalized passive viewing experience for a user. A personalization engine may determine viewer preferences based on multiple factors including past viewing behavior, web-browsing history, calendar event topics, and email data topics. The viewer preferences may then be formed into a user profile. A content aggregator component may then search multiple content sources for content compatible with the user profile. The content aggregator component may save found content or pointers to the content for later reference. The personalization engine may organize the saved content into a series of individual content items which may be presented on a display. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
