Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing radial alignment of a housing mounted on a circuit board is provided. A mounting leg portion extends outward from a mounting surface of the housing. The mounting leg portion has a body portion, an end portion, and a radial alignment portion. The radial alignment portion extends outward from the mounting surface. The radial alignment portion has a circumference, and is adapted to be received in a mounting opening formed in the circuit board. The radial alignment portion prevents radial movement of the mounting leg portion with respect to the circuit board. The end portion of the mounting leg portion includes a snap portion for engaging the circuit board and securing the mounting leg portion to the circuit board.

Abstract: An apparatus for aligning a bracket member of a circuit board assembly as the bracket member is positioned against and secured to an electronic chassis is provided. A circuit board assembly includes a circuit board operatively attached to a bracket member. The bracket member includes a first end, a second end, an outer surface and an inner surface. A gasket is longitudinally oriented along the outer surface of the bracket member. A first pin extends from the inner surface adjacent the first end, and a second pin extends from the inner surface adjacent the second end. An electronic chassis includes a top flange and a bottom flange. The top flange includes a top flange opening and the bottom flange includes a bottom flange opening. The first pin is aligned with and extends through the top flange opening and the second pin is aligned with and extends through the bottom flange opening to align the bracket member as the bracket member is positioned against and secured to the electronic chassis.

The first card guide further includes a channel positioned between each of the plurality of openings to receive a plurality of circuit boards. A first electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding screen is positioned adjacent the first card guide. An air filter is positioned within the electronic chassis, and is spaced-apart from the EMI shielding screen to allow room air to flow through the air filter and to allow filtered air to be distributed along the plurality of openings.

A first pin header is positioned adjacent the second side of the circuit board. The first pin header includes a plurality of pins for receiving data. A second pin header is positioned adjacent the second side of the circuit board. The second pin header includes a plurality of pins for transmitting data. The plurality of pins for receiving data and the plurality of pins for transmitting data are operatively connected to the plurality of transmit-receive pairs of pins.

Abstract: An exhaust vent for venting exhaust air from an electronic chassis includes a body portion having a length. The body portion is mounted to the electronic chassis. The body portion includes an upper portion that extends along the length of the body portion and a lower portion that also extends along the length of the body portion. The upper portion includes a deflector portion and the lower portion includes a curved portion. The deflector portion of the upper portion and the curved portion of the lower portion define an exhaust opening in the body portion to allow the exhaust air from the electronic chassis to pass through the exhaust opening in a downward direction and to conceal an inside portion of the electronic chassis.

Abstract: An electronic chassis and filter apparatus is provided. A chassis includes a top portion, a bottom portion, a first side wall portion, and a second side wall portion. The bottom portion includes an open front side, a closed back side, a first guide rail portion and a second guide rail portion. An ejector spring is operatively attached to the back side of the bottom portion, and a spring-biased actuator is operatively connected to the first rail portion adjacent the open front side. When the filter is inserted into the open front side, the filter contacts the ejector spring which biases the filter against the spring-biased actuator.

A circuit board assembly includes a circuit board operatively attached to a bracket member having a first end and a second end. A first connector member is rotatably attached to the first end, and a second connector member is rotatably attached to the second end. The first connector member includes a first hook portion and a first handle portion. The second connector member includes a second hook portion and a second handle portion. The first and second hook portions each include a first surface and a second surface oriented at an angle to the first surface. The first surface of the first hook portion contacts with a first spring and the first surface of the second hook portion contacts with a second spring to orient the first and second connectors in an insertion position.
