  • Patent number: 8821472
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus comprising a housing and a flexible reservoir adapted to contain a fluid and having a septum member formed from a needle-penetratable self-sealing material. The flexible reservoir is arranged within the housing in combination with mounting means arranged within or formed by the housing, wherein the mounting means engages the septum member to thereby mount the flexible reservoir relative to the housing. In this way a secure fixation between the reservoir and the housing is provided without having to interfere with the general flexibility of the reservoir, e.g. substantially the entire flexible reservoir apart from the outlet/mounting means may be arranged free to move relative to the housing, this allowing the reservoir to be emptied to a high degree.

  • Patent number: 8747363
Abstract: A medical device is provided comprising a transcutaneous device unit and a process unit. The transcutaneous device unit may comprise a transcutaneous device for transporting a fluid through a skin portion of a subject, and a mounting surface adapted for application to the skin of the subject. The process unit may comprise a reservoir adapted to contain a fluid drug, the reservoir comprising an outlet means allowing the transcutaneous device to be arranged in fluid communication with an interior of the reservoir, and an expelling assembly for expelling a fluid drug out of the reservoir and through the skin of the subject via the transcutaneous device. The transcutaneous device unit and the process unit further comprise coupling means allowing the reservoir unit to be secured to the transcutaneous device unit in the situation of use. By this arrangement a two-unit system is provided which can be used in a convenient and cost-effective manner.

  • Patent number: 8579861
Abstract: A needle magazine for holding a plurality of injection needles (50) is described. The needle magazine comprises a first opening adapted to receive the device fluid access portion (120) of a medical delivery device. Each needle (50) is selectively moveable from a respective storage position not aligned with said first opening into a needle mounting position aligned with said first opening. The needle magazine further comprises needle positioning means (41). configured to alter the mutual position between a needle selected from said plurality of needles (50) relative to a neighbor needle when said selected needle moves from its storage position to the needle mounting position.

  • Patent number: 7807242
Abstract: A container consisting of a PCTFE monolayer, the thickness of said layer being about 40-100 ?m, which container is equipped with a device where the liquid can be lead out through when desired and which container is transparent, shows superior properties for storing liquid pharmaceutical compositions, especially insulin compositions containing preservatives.

  • Publication number: 20080311321
Abstract: A flexible multilayer film for forming a container defining a liquid-tight chamber for storing a liquid is described here. The film comprises a first layer (1) and a second layer (2). The first layer (1) is a barrier layer, for example, a PCTFE layer, which is arranged inwardly of the second layer (2) as seen in a direction from the chamber of the container formed from the multilayer film. The second layer (2) is a septum layer, for example, a TPE layer, having self-sealing properties so as to seal around a hypodermic needle penetrating said film. As seen in the above direction an innermost surface (5) of the film is weldable onto itself and is preferably made of a weldable layer (3) comprising PE and/or PP.
