Abstract: A door system includes a door having a housing mounted in the bottom edge of the door that retains a bottom seal and a second channel for receiving a guide. A seal is formed adjacent the periphery of the door between the door and a door opening in a structure when the door is in the closed position. The seal includes deformable gaskets that extend between the structure and the door to form a seal around the door opening. A first soft close device is mounted adjacent the open positon and a second soft close device is mounted adjacent the closed position. A single activator pin is mounted on the door and positioned such that the activator pin engages the first soft close device as the door nears the open positon and engages the second soft close device as the door nears the closed position.

Abstract: A door system includes a door having a top edge, a leading edge, a trailing edge and an inner face. A first gasket is deformed into engagement with the inner face adjacent the top edge, a second gasket is deformed into engagement with the inner face adjacent the top edge and spaced from the first gasket. An acoustic barrier is positioned to close a gap between the first gasket, the second gasket and the inner face. A third gasket is mounted to a structure adjacent the door and a fourth gasket is mounted to the trailing edge of the door. Sealing members on the first gasket engage sealing members on the second gasket when the door is in the closed position.

Abstract: A sliding door assembly comprises a plurality of door panels for coordinated movement along an upper guide track. A bracket is mounted to the upper end of one of the door panels. The bracket comprises an elongated member and defines a plurality of openings for receiving fasteners and roller mechanisms. At least one roller mechanism is secured to each of the door panels and slidably received within the upper guide track. A pair of pulleys is secured to the bracket for carrying an endless cable and the door panels are secured to the cable. In a fully open position, a first outer door panel of the door panels is secured to the cable of the immediately adjacent door panel at a side of the immediately adjacent door panel opposite to the lead edge.

Abstract: A threshold system and threshold insert for transitions through doorways. An insert for a threshold saddle to be used with a door includes an elongated member for providing a seal along a bottom edge of the door and to be received in a seat in the saddle. The insert defines a door engagement surface adapted to extend across both the seat and the change in elevation to engage the door to provide the seal. When installed for use, the door engagement surface, the saddle adjacent to the sides of the seat, or both provide an overall slope of at least or approximately 2 units horizontal to 1 unit vertical. A threshold system includes a saddle and the insert. The door or an appurtenant door shoe may have an angled surface to interface with the door engagement surface of the insert.

Abstract: A kit for mounting a frame in a partitioning structure such as a door, and a door including a vision lite. The kit includes a male frame half, a female frame half, and threaded fasteners. The female frame half defines an elongated channel, where the channel includes a bottom with walls extending therefrom with a width adapted to receive a threaded fastener. The first frame piece and the second frame piece are configured to be mounted to each other when the threaded fasteners extend through the first frame piece and into the channel. An installation of such a kit in a door, with window glass, may provide a vision lite in the door. The channel may be configured such that the threaded fasteners penetrate the bottom of the channel when the first frame piece and the second frame piece are installed. The threaded fasteners may be self-tapping screws.
