  • Publication number: 20220128154
Abstract: A sealing system including a first end and a second end with flexible bellows extending therebetween. The first end includes a base plate with an inner ring having an inner diameter. The inner ring is configured to receive a pipe therethrough. The pipe has an outer diameter, which is smaller than the inner diameter of the inner ring. The bellows of the sealing system has a first length in a first position and second length in a second position. Upon axial expansion of the pipe, the bellows is configured to move from the first position to the second position. The sealing system may also comprise a mechanical protective element, such as a shroud which extends around the bellows. Movement of the bellows can be further limited with rods extending from the shroud to a surrounding substrate or a cable fixing a maximum distance between the pipe and the shroud.

  • Patent number: 10458575
Abstract: A flexible pipe loop including three flexible tube members: a first flexible tube member connected to a pipe run, a second flexible tube member connected to the first tube member, and a third flexible tube member connected to the second flexible tube member, the second flexible tube member and the third flexible tube member arranged such that they are substantially parallel. The configuration of the three flexible tube members permits six degrees of freedom of the flexible pipe loop.

  • Publication number: 20180023730
Abstract: A flexible pipe loop for use in a pipe run, which is divided at allocation along its run, said loop comprising: a first flexible tube member comprising a first and second open end, wherein the first open end is to be connected to the pipe run at the divided location such that the first flexible tube member is in fluid communication with the pipe run; a second flexible tube member comprising a first and second open end, wherein the first open end is connected to and in fluid communication with the second open end of the first flexible tube member; a third flexible tube member comprising a first and second open end, wherein the first open end is connected to and in fluid communication with the second open end of the second flexible tube member such that the third flexible tube member is disposed substantially in parallel with the second flexible tube member, wherein the second open end of the third flexible tube member is to be connected to and in fluid communication with the pipe run; wherein the first flexibl

  • Publication number: 20110181041
Abstract: Provision is made to limit the degree of expansion of an expansion joint having a flexible body interposed between a pair of axially spaced flanges. The flanges or radial extensions thereof are interconnected by two or more circumferentially spaced cables, with the cables being unitary in form but having a pair of parallel strands, with the two ends of the cable being interconnected such that the two stands limit the expansion of the joint. The cables can alternatively include two separate circumferentially spaced non-looped cables. Compression of the assembly is limited by way of a sleeve disposed on one strand and adapted to have its ends engage the inner surfaces of the flanges or radial extensions thereof upon reaching the limit of intended compression.

  • Patent number: 5803506
Abstract: A flexible pipe loop for absorbing or compensating for movement in a pipe run, and for reducing stresses in the pipe run. The loop comprises a pair of pipe run elbows, a pair of flexible tube members, a pair of loop elbows, and a third flexible tube member. The pipe run elbows are oppositely disposed, and each has a first open end to be connected to the pipe run, and a second open end. The pair of flexible tube members each have first and second open ends. The first open ends of the tube members are connected to the second open ends of the pipe run elbows, respectively. The loop elbows are disposed in a spaced-apart opposing relation, and each has first and second open ends. The first open ends of the loop elbows are connected to the second open ends of the pair of tube members, respectively. Finally, the third flexible tube member is connected between, and to the second open ends of, the loop elbows.
