  • Publication number: 20050131124
Abstract: Molded parts exhibiting enhanced resistance to high temperature diesel fuel and improved tensile modulus are provided. The molded parts are made from a composition comprising from 85 to 99.8% by weight of a polyoxymethylene copolymer, and from 0.2 to 15% by weight magnesium hydroxide. The molded parts may further include from 0.01 to 5% by weight of a component selected from the group of amidine compounds and metal oxides. The amidine compound may be cyanoguanidine and the metal oxide may be magnesium oxide. The molded part exhibit reduced weight loss when exposed to diesel fuel at a temperature of at least about 60° C. during use.
