  • Publication number: 20230290349
Abstract: A voice controlled studio apparatus comprising a presenter interface unit and a producer interface unit, the presenter interface unit and the producer interface unit each adapted to generate commands and each unit comprising a voice input device, the apparatus further comprising a data processing unit adapted to receive commands from the presenter interface and the producer interface, process the commands, parse them to ascertain whether the actions meet at least one pre-determined criterion and then subsequently effect one or more actions based on the commands and the or each pre-determined criterion, and wherein the data processing unit is adapted to prioritise the effecting of actions so that commands generated by the producer interface unit can override the effecting of commands generated by the presenter interface unit, the apparatus further comprising a teleprompt unit adapted to provide a display adapted to be visible by a presenter and adapted to receive actions from a data processing unit and vary th

  • Patent number: 8749642
Abstract: The invention concerns correcting an error in an estimated pose of a moveable camera. The camera is at least a part of a camera system that generates an output image on the basis of the camera pose. Incremental pose measurements for the camera are taken over time and a pose of the camera using the incremental pose measurements is estimated, the estimated camera pose having an error. A pose correction is determined on the basis of the difference between an absolute pose measurement for the camera and the estimated camera pose. A rate of change in the camera image caused by a change in the camera is monitored. A parameter of the camera system is periodically adjusted based on the incremental pose measurements. The adjustment is further set in order to effect the pose correction so as to correct for the estimated camera pose error and the pose correction is effected at a rate based on the monitored rate of change in the camera image.

  • Patent number: 8534620
Abstract: A spreader device and a modular stand system including the spreader device are disclosed. The spreader device is configured to detachably couple with and support a stand unit, and to function independently as a stand when detached from the stand unit. Each arm of the spreader device may detachably and rotatably couple with a leg of the stand unit. The modular stand system may also include a monopod where both the spreader device and the stand unit are configured to engage the monopod. The functionality an configurability of each component in the modular stand system may permit increased system flexibility using a small number of components.
