Abstract: A nosecone of an aircraft sensor probe may include a first portion defining a tip of the nosecone that is formed from a first material. The nosecone further includes a second portion aft of the first portion and formed from a second material. The second portion may define an internal volume. The second material may have a greater porosity than the first material. The nosecone may further include a third portion aft of the second portion. The third portion may be configured to arrange a microphone assembly relative to the internal volume. The nosecone may a component or subassembly or a sensor probe for the aircraft. For example, the sensor probe may include the nosecone and the microphone assembly. The nosecone may be configured to block the audio signals at the tip and reduce turbulent noise of the audio signals associated with non-parallel local flow angles of the airflow.

Abstract: A folding umbrella having a shorter rigid upper segment and a longer flexible or deformable lower segment, such that with at least an upper portion of the flexible or deformable lower segment manipulated so as to be relatively straight, the hub member of the umbrella is slidable onto the flexible or deformable lower segment. The umbrella further has a mounting mechanism adapted to temporarily secure the umbrella to an object during use, wherein the mounting mechanism may be a clip or a deformable handle member, either as a deformable member connected to the lower end of the shaft or the lowermost portion of the shaft itself.

Abstract: Alkyl esters boiling largely within the specification range for jet fuel may be made from triglycerides without a water-washing step, by centrifugation in a timely manner and at a sufficiently high time/G-force/distance product so as to bring about separation of a transitory second phase containing the residual catalyst. The esters or fractions thereof may be combined with jet or diesel fuels to lower the freezing and cloud points respectively.

Abstract: The Rejuvenator adds the contents of a container of an admixture to the flow of shower water or bath and hand wash supplies for a specific application. The Rejuvenator 1 is attached to the outlet of a shower unit or mixer shower by screwing the female cone gland 2 onto that outlet. Then a shower hose can be attached to the male gland 3. The container of an admixture 6 (seen in FIG. 3) can be attached by screwing 7 into the rejuvenator 1, at 5. Turning the selector wheel 4 can regulate the amount of admixture used. NB: The Rejuvenator will have to be fitted by a qualified plumber to the hand and bath water supplies and water supply for toilet cisterns. (For hand and bath water, Rejuvenator could be manufactured with mixer tap attached).
