  • Publication number: 20180322113
Abstract: A data structure is generated containing enumerators for data types of a domain, text forms of the enumerators and context patterns for the text forms. The data structure also includes information extraction rules that are associated with the enumerators. The data structure is updated with additional context patterns and text forms that are identified within a set of documents to which text analytic annotators are to be tuned. The set of documents are analyzed against the updated data structure and additional extraction rules are generated based on the analysis.

  • Publication number: 20180232489
Abstract: Medical data for transcription into a medical record is received. As the medical data is received, in real time: a computer-understandable meaning of text contained in the medical data can be identified by performing natural language processing on the text contained in the medical data; at least one medical transcription rule that applies to the medical data can be identified by processing the computer-understandable meaning of the text contained in the medical data; whether the medical data is incomplete can be determined by processing the computer-understandable meaning of text using the at least one medical transcription rule; and, responsive to determining that the medical data is incomplete, at least one annotation can be added to the medical record, the at least one annotation indicating data that is missing from the medical record and where in the medical record the data is missing.

  • Patent number: 10027648
Abstract: In an approach to variable authentication, one or more computer processors receive a request to access secure data from a computing device. The one or more computer processors receive geolocation data associated with the computing device. The one or more computer processors compare the geolocation data to authentication parameters associated with the computing device to determine if the geolocation data falls within the authentication parameters. The one or more computer processors determine whether the geolocation data falls within the authentication parameters. If the geolocation data does not, the one or more computer processors send a request for authentication from the computing device via an authentication method wherein the authentication method corresponds to an identified location and time of the computing device associated with the request to access secure data and a time associated with the request to access secure data. The one or more computer processors receive the authentication.

  • Patent number: 9965469
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, a system dynamically produces a document with transformed terms associated with a geographic location, and comprises a computer system including at least one processor. The system analyzes a retrieved document to identify one or more terms with equivalent expressions in the same natural language. Each of the identified terms is transformed into an equivalent expression based on at least a geographic location associated with a user. The system produces a transformed document by replacing the identified one or more terms in the retrieved document with the equivalent expressions associated with the geographic location. Embodiments of the present invention further include a method and computer program product for dynamically producing a document with transformed terms for a geographic location in substantially the same manner described above.

  • Patent number: 9898447
Abstract: Provided are techniques for a domain specific representation of document text for accelerated natural language processing. A document is selected from a set of documents to be analyzed. A character stream from the document is converted into a token stream based on tokenization rules. Irrelevant tokens are removed from the token stream. The tokens remaining in the token stream are converted into an integer domain representation based on a domain specific ontology dictionary. The integer domain representation are stored to a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) processing queue of each of one or more GPUs. Then, a result set is received from the one or more GPUs.

  • Patent number: 9875230
Abstract: A method, a processing device, and a computer program product are provided. Via at least one processing device, each text file is selected from a collection of text files, wherein the collection of text files has an intensity with respect to negative sentiment toward a common issue. At least one profile algorithm is performed, each calculating a corresponding profile score for that text file. At least one corresponding profile score of the text files of the collection are combined to produce an aggregated profile score for each of at least one profile algorithm. The aggregated profile score of each of the at least one profile algorithm for the collection is stored. A signature for the collection of text files includes the aggregated profile score of each of the at least one profile algorithm for the collection.

  • Publication number: 20170300624
Abstract: A method, a processing device, and a computer program product are provided. At least one processing device correlates textual medical information related to the subject with characteristics of an image of a medical condition of the subject to generate a subject signature. The at least one processing device compares the subject signature with multiple reference signatures to determine at least one reference signature corresponding to the subject signature. Each reference signature is associated with a corresponding medical condition and is generated by correlating textual medical information regarding the corresponding medical condition with characteristics of an image of the corresponding medical condition.
