  • Patent number: 11651877
Abstract: A support arrangement for an electrical protection assembly for connection between an electrical power supply line and electrical equipment is provided. The support arrangement comprises a first insulator body and a second insulator body extending at right angles to the first insulator body, wherein the first and second insulator bodies are integrally formed into a unitary body. In an embodiment, the second insulator body extends from a lower end of the first insulator body, so as to define a unitary L-shaped support arrangement. In one version, the support arrangement comprises an L-shaped inner support frame around which the first and second insulator bodies are molded. The L-shaped inner support frame comprises a T-shaped metal connector having a first end from which a first fibre glass support arm extends, around which the first insulator body is molded, and a second end from which a second fibre glass support arm extends, around which the second insulator body is molded.

  • Publication number: 20160056004
Abstract: An electrical protection assembly has a pin insulator to define a first mounting structure, a fixed arm proximate an operatively upper end of the pin insulator, and an insulator arm extending from an operatively lower end of the pin insulator, with a proximate end of the insulator arm being removably securable to the pin insulator, and a first rocker arm pivotally mounted relative to the fixed arm. The first rocker arm terminates at a first end and a second end, with a fusible device being supportable between the first end of the first rocker arm and a distal end of the insulator arm, to define a fuse carrier section, and with a voltage surge protection unit being supportable between the second end of the first rocker arm and the operatively lower end of the pin insulator, to define an over voltage protection section.

  • Patent number: 8345399
Abstract: An electrical protection assembly for connection between an electrical power supply line and electrical equipment has an insulating mounting structure; a first arm connectable to a live conductor for connection to a fusible device at a first end and a voltage surge protection unit at a second end, pivotally attached to the mounting structure in a displaceable manner intermediate its ends; a first connection arrangement at the first end of the first arm for connection to the fusible device; and a second connection arrangement at the second end of the first arm for connection to the voltage surge protection unit. The assembly further includes first and second springs for urging the first arm relative to the mounting structure. The springs may urge the second connection arrangement towards the voltage surge protection unit and the first connection arrangement away from the fusible device.
