  • Publication number: 20090167030
Abstract: A vertical axis turbine with a rotor driven by a group of vanes that assure starting at low speeds, efficiently generates electricity at all fluid flow speeds, especially under circumstances that include abrupt increase.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 5, 2009
    Publication date: July 2, 2009
    Inventor: Philip G. Watkins
  • Publication number: 20080273978
Abstract: A vertical axis wind turbine with a rotor driven by a group of vanes that assure starting at low speeds, efficiently generates electricity at all wind speeds, especially under circumstances that include abrupt increases in the wind velocity.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 1, 2007
    Publication date: November 6, 2008
    Inventor: Philip G. Watkins
  • Patent number: 7347791
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing a separable golf club are provided involving a connector having a male connector and a female connector configured to be selectively matable. The male and female connectors are configured to facilitate assembly of the connector with a reduced likelihood of damage to threaded portions of each component by the presence of complementary engaging surfaces, such as blunt tip and smooth alignment portions of the male connector. Additionally, the male and female connectors each may have a shoulder portion with a larger dimension than other portions of the connector in order to provide a secure coupling of the components.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2006
Date of Patent: March 25, 2008
Inventors: Philip G. Watkins, Louis Oberman

  • Patent number: 7109599
Abstract: An omni-directional wind turbine electric generation system including a wind rotor carrying wind responsive vanes which on one surface exert an aerodynamic lifting force and on the other a blocking force both of which exert a torque in the same rotational sense, and an electric generator directly connected to said wind rotor and coaxial therewith, without transmission means between them.
