Patent number: 10360563Abstract: There is disclosed a system and method for processing requests over an architecture. The architecture may utilize logical partitioning to distribute work load across multiple logical servers in an efficient manager. The system may comprise a router, a directory, at least one logical server, and a wallet server. The router may receive a request from a consumer via the consumer's device and extract a value from the request that identifies the consumer. The router may access the directory, which may contain a map that matches consumers with logical servers, to determine which logical server to forward the request to. The router may then pass the request to the determined logical server. The logical server may process the request by utilizing both generic and network or market specific plug-in processing.Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2014Date of Patent: July 23, 2019Assignee: NetCracker Technology Solutions LLCInventors: Ian James Clubb, Philip Geoffrey Claridge, Thomas Joseph Shusta, Jeffrey M. Publication number: 20170127427Abstract: A device may obtain network topology information that identifies a set of nodes of a network and one or more physical links between nodes of the set of nodes. The set of nodes may include one or more base stations, one or more mobile devices, and one or more network resources. The device may determine enhancement information based on location information identifying a location of one or more of the set of nodes, and subscriber information identifying one or more subscribers associated with one or more of the set of nodes. The device may determine network performance information based on the enhancement information. The network performance information may identify an impairment in performance of the set of nodes, and may identify a modification to a network parameter to improve performance of the set of nodes. The device may provide the network performance information to cause a change in the network.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 2, 2015Publication date: May 4, 2017Inventors: Philip Geoffrey CLARIDGE, Christopher Michael MURPHY, Howard John THOMAS, David Charles PADFIELD, Walter FEATHERSTONE, Meng WANG

Patent number: 8666841Abstract: A fraud detection system and method uses unique indicators for detecting fraud that extend beyond traditional transaction-based indicators. These unique indicators may include environmental information about a customer or a transaction. Such indicators may be used to identify fraud events based on computer-executable instructions that evaluate fraud risk. Further, an improved fraud detection system may include a learning component with a feedback loop. Also, authenticating and other information may be directed to the system for updating indicating data, fraud models, and risk assessments.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2009Date of Patent: March 4, 2014Assignee: Convergys Information Management Group, Inc.Inventors: Philip Geoffrey Claridge, Alastair David Hanlon, Marian Hatfield

Patent number: 6275549Abstract: A method and apparatus for synchronizing a clock between first and second logic blocks (20,21) connected via an asynchronous bus (22). The second logic block includes a clock signal generator (9) responsive to an input synchronizing signal to generate a clock signal synchronized with the synchronizing signal. Data is transferred in blocks from the first logic block (20) to the second logic block (21) across the asynchronous bus (22), the receipt of a data block by the second logic block (21) being used to generate the synchronizing signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1997Date of Patent: August 14, 2001Assignee: Madge Networks LimitedInventors: Duncan McDougall Greatwood, Philip Geoffrey Claridge
