Abstract: A system for conducting a dialogue with a user comprising an assignment unit, a plurality of processing units each of which comprise one or more processing rules, and a plurality of data storage units; wherein the assignment unit receives a communication from a user, assigns the communication to a processing unit according to the communication's semantic content and stores information relating to the communication in a data storage unit; and the assigned processing unit processes the communication in accordance with the processing unit's processing rules and provides a response to the user.
